”It’s not too much. It’s- Normal. A normal happy. When was the last time either of us were that?”
{For Allison? Months. Jonathan? Possibly never, she didn’t know.
”She’s something. Maybe. I don’t know. Does it even matter? He-” [He picked her. He picked Kira over her.]
”Is going to get popcorn and chocolate chips in the job description too? Even if it’s just sneaking into the cafeteria to get out of here?”
{Allison hoped it was. Honestly, she just needed to get out of here and maybe she felt so bad because she was lightheaded from skipping meals again.}
"Normal or not, we can't have that. So what if you can't afford to be normal happy? -- That's the luxury of ignorance. There are other types of happy, though..."
{ She wasn't buying what he was selling. Obviously. Hell, he wasn't even buying it. But Jonathan was never the guy to give up easily, so he'd keep on trying. The whole incident would be off her mind in no time. At least, that's what he told himself. }
"She's new --."
{ He stopped himself. He wasn't going to mention how this seemed to be a habit with Scott, picking up the new girl. That was the last thing Allison needed to hear. He was definitely going to get back at Scott for her somehow, excluding lethal force because Isaac was a nice enough guy and killing his alpha seemed a little overboard. And Allison wouldn't like it. The code and all. }
"Yeah, junk food's in the fine print, actually. There's a disturbing lack of loopholes but a hell of a lot of perks if you're willing to put in the time to find them."
{ Jonathan nodded his head in the general direction of the cafeteria. }
"Lead the way, Warrior Princess."
