MM Travels To: Koh Samui - Day 3
Day 3 was pretty much the most eventful day- we did A LOT of things in one day. The four of us woke up at the crack of dawn, only to be greeted by !!!MR SUN!!! Hehehe. (If you missed my previous post, Day 2 was pretty uneventful because it rained all day long so we were itching to finally start doing something productive on our last full day).
We tried calling the tour companies to book last minute snorkelling tours etc. but none of the companies were resuming their tours, as it was rainy season and they weren’t exactly confident enough to bring tourists around in boats. Just incase it started pouring again.
We decided to just do all the touristy things on our own, since we could use the hotel shuttle. (P/s this post is going to include alooootttttt of pictures and is going to be pretty damn long, so bear with me haha)
First stop: Hin Ta and Hin Yai Rocks (Grandfather and Grandmother Rocks)
Not gonna lie, we let out embarrassed chuckles after looking at the rocks once we got there. As you can see in the pictures inserted below, the rocks look like the male and female genitalia- and obviously we were pretty damn jakun lolllz.
The view from the top of the rocks was absolutely breathtaking though.. if it wasn't scorching hot we would've been there for houuuurrrssssss just admiring the view.
Pc: Sara’s disposable camera
Second stop: Na Muang Waterfall
I definitely do not consider myself a nature-kinda-gal but I really enjoyed our hike up to the waterfall. (Sara & Saiis probably rolled their eyes after reading that because all they heard while hiking up to the waterfall was me complaining, saying i’d rather be at the beach hahaha) (But really guys, I... had fun.. despite our near death experience kkkk)
So.. the hike up to the waterfall was a legit hike. We wore swimming shorts and flip flops- our dumb butts were clearly not prepared for it. (We actually came out of the jungle with cuts and bruises everywhere k).
Lvl 1: CONQUERED. The water was so so cool and refreshing.
Hello MTV, welcome to my Krib!

LVL idek it was too high up: CONQUERED. Ok it was a pretty damn scary hike up to the top. We followed a random local up to this part of the waterfall (don't do this, we actually thought we were going to get pushed off the waterfall or like. kidnapped), and oh my godddd. Words can't even describe how it felt to be up there?! Pictures don't do it justice either. Beautiful. First and last time though hahahahahahahaha
Third stop: Koh Tan (or like.. on the boat in between Koh Samui mainland & Koh Tan)
We told our driver that we wanted to go snorkelling and we somehow ended up at a random restaurant that also offered a snorkelling package to Koh Tan, another island just about 5 km away from Koh Samui. We googled it and it looked pretty nice so we decided to just go for it.
We hopped on a pretty cute speed boat, had our Moana moment and headed straight to Koh Tan with our snorkelling gear and a loaf of bread, hoping to see beautiful reefs and colourful fish. We didn't even get to the island, our boat driver just stopped in the middle of the sea and expected us to jump off.. I mean if the water was clear I totally would have jumped in but it definitely was not. We sent the 2 daredevils (Sara & Saiis’ sister) into the water to scan for fish and coral reefs but they couldn't see anything so I obviously opted to stay on the boat.
After a solid 30 minutes of looking for fish, we only found a school of [STARVING] fish, and we ended up just feeding them bread from the boat
Fourth stop: Crystal Bay Beach for a massage
The massage definitely made up for the failed snorkelling trip. Our muscles ached after the hike up the waterfall, so it was definitely the perfect way to wind down after a long day.
I obviously fell asleep listening to the waves during my massage. Definitely my favourite part of the trip. :( <3
I had way too much fun watching the beautiful lady boys of Koh Samui lip syncing to so many different songs. All of them were so pretty... their make up and costumes were beauuttzz. 10/10 would recommend
Gotta up my make up game mannnn (PS: you gotta pay for a pic with them)
We went around the market near Starz Cabaret for some last minute shopping before we headed back to the hotel. Knocked out as soon as we got back.
Our flight was the next day- we went to Crystal Bay Beach in the morning for another massage, went back to the hotel for a short swim, packed our bags and went straight to the airport.
I had soo much fun in Koh Samui! Wish we stayed longer, we didn’t have enough time to explore the whole island properly. Hope to be back again soon!
