Change my mind.

When Rebecca Sugar mentioned White was inspired by the designs of Nell Brinkley of the early 1900’s, I took that and ran.

Growing up, my father was obsessed with the silent movie from the 20’s Metropolis. One of the first “science fiction” movies ever. The futuristic. repressed society, the stunning linework reminded me so much of Homeworld.

@holicmodedesign on Instagram was instrumental in helping translate this vintage yet futuristic vibe in White Diamond, marrying early Hollywood glam with something foreign and alien. I can’t wait for you to see the entire design at Katsucon when I get the chance to shoot her.

Added a silver glaze over this stunning gem from @hamsterparade on Instagram to fit with the overall aesthetic. Tights though not visible are from @welovecolors
