      SHE HESITATES JUST FOR A MOMENT, fingers idly pulling at a loose thread from her uniform skirt. this is no good, she thinks for a second before trying to find the right way to approach yusuke on such a ... touchy subject. all the things she wants to ask him & say are so nerve-wracking, she’s almost tempted to tell him to to forget she called him to meet her at the diner in shibuya --- almost.

              “I just redownloaded Snapchat a few months ago! Besides I’m the one that made Morgana’s instagram in the first place, I think Futaba has the login now. ” he thinks. He made it one time as a joke and in all honesty forgot about it.

              Besides the whole thing feels too incriminating. Everyone looking at what he’s doing. His snapchat is limited to his friends and nothing more. Feels like a weird invasion of privacy especially with everything going on.

              “ Show me some of your pictures Natsuki. Do you have a lot? ”

SOMEHOW  ,  SHE FINDS IT HARD TO BELIEVE THAT HE ACTUALLY USES HIS SNAPCHAT  ,  but whatever.        ❛    huh  ?  i guess i have a lot of pictures of myself  ?       most of them might be with fake friends and exes  ,  though.    ❜       quickly taking her phone out of her sweater pocket  ,  she opens her photos app and scrolls through to see what pictures she could show him.

❛    hmmm–––––- oh  !       i recently took pictures with ann because we stumbled upon this cute café & bakery the other day  ,  we should go there together sometime by the way.       but anyways  ,  i’ll just show you those photos.    ❜      she stops scrolling to zoom in on a photo of her and ann  ,  posing in a small building with loads of other people sitting behind them  ,  either chatting away or eating what they ordered.       in front of the two girls was two small strawberry cheesecakes  ,  which natsuki remembers being extremely delicious.

smiling at the memory of her time with the other girl  ,  she finally stops staring at the picture and turns her phone over to tadashi  ,  in order to show him it.       ❛    look  ,  aren’t we just the cutest  !       when i posted this picture on instagram it got a bunch of likes and comments.    ❜

       SHE  can’t help the nearly instantaneous blush in her cheeks, her lips creeping upward into an infectious smile. Somehow, she feels a hint of pride every time she hears it from Natsuki — because the old Natsuki would never smile all the way up to her eyes, never be so sincerely flushed and happy with that sort of declaration ( if she made it at all ). To know that they’re growing into their true selves together… It just makes that love all the deeper.

              “ They seem better. They all do. ” his gaze is focused on the way the staff moves, there’s a light to their step. A grace to their movements smiles to their faces. But what was to be expected after being freed from their shackles, placed on by a cruel manager.

              “Thanks for coming with me Natsuki. I’m always curious. On how people are doing after. ”

❛   huh——- ?   ❜   broken out of her trance , she shifts her gaze from him towards what he was looking at , which was the staff members.   ❛   ah ... they do seem to be better now.   ❜   a small smile makes its way to her face sudden , knowing the feeling of being shackled  &  even knowing the exhilarating feeling that comes with being free of said shackles , she can’t help my empathize with them.   to which she thinks her form softens as well  /  almost like a relaxed state of mind has taken over as she watches them work with glee for once , which will be how they work from now on.

❛   it’s no trouble , really.   ❜   her voice is soft as well , almost as if she’s whispering.   ❛   besides , i think i get it.   why you check up on how people are doing after , i mean.   it’s almost like a warm feeling comes with watching them move forward  &  become better , even if it’s just for a second.   maybe i’m just overthinking it ... but i get the feeling that’s how you always feel after saving someone.    ❜
