I just realized I always thought of (MCU) Steven not only as a fictive, of Steven Grant (Tomb Busters), but of a factive of Randell Spector too.
Obviously it’s not a one on one replica, from the few bits we’ve seen and can speculate from we know Steven has evidently grow more away from that origin. (Which make senses)
But as I was saying, I can’t imagine him not representing Randell in anyway (I would point out the two-finned fish, but I don’t exactly trust Marc’s memories).
If Marc couldn’t protect Randell, he could protect Steven, as Steven was protecting him from being alone in that situation.
I had a dream last night that there was a tripple a Moon Knight game a-la the Insomniac Spider-Man games and I was so excited to play it and then I woke up and realized it wasn't real
What makes more painful is the Spider-Man VA for insomniac games is obsessed with Moon Knight and quote “tried to get Moon Knight into the game as much as possible and it’s not working”
I just realized we have no idea if Elias did convince Marc to stay or not. I mean the most logical thing is he didn’t convince him- but the scene never show us the answer.
Prompt 1 for 2026 MK Discord (Prompt: Losing Time)
Jake leaned back in the desk chair, a cigarette caught in his teeth, holding in the smoke before finally releasing it with a sigh.
He spared a small glance at the wooden desk, filled with messy papers and various mythological books. Jake couldn’t quite understand how Steven lived with this mess; he could clean it up, but he didn’t think Steven believed in brownies, or whatever ghost was mentioned in the open book in front of Jake.
Jake shook his head, trying to figure out the last time he had fronted. He took out Steven’s phone again, looking at the date: 12/2. If he remembered correctly, it had been at least two weeks since he was able to use the body. But he wasn't too sure...
It wasn’t like he was worried about losing out on life; he merely didn’t have one, nor was he worried about any missed information, since Khonshu always filled him in.
After all Jake had made a silent pact with Marc (even if he didn’t know of his existence) that this body should belong to the better of them, Steven. He deserves to live a life out of all of them.
Despite the moon shining high above the sky, Jake hadn’t heard a word from Khonshu; anytime there was silence from that god, it could never mean anything good.
He let out another puff of smoke. He hadn’t seen Frenchie in a long while, he thought-
Marc had cut contact with everyone, including his own damn wife. If he could kick any sense into Marc, he would…
Jake soon grew rather bored and put out his cigarette before shoving it to the bottom of the trash. He needed some air…
London had quite the boring night scene, or at least where Steven chose to live, yet it at least kept him safe. As Lockley walked around, the cold air wrapped around his jacket. He had come to think, When was the last time he had 'free' time?
Not only did he compete with Steven and Marc for body, but it seemed Khonshu played more favorites with Marc, only letting Lockley take the missions; he knew it would take a hell of a lot convincing for Marc to comply fully.
Jake stopped in front of a local pub, but he didn’t enter; he and alcohol never agreed, and he couldn’t stand the scent of it on people’s breath. He only stopped in to take the sound of talking and laughter. In his line of work, you only really see people crying or screaming.
It would be nice, though, to go inside a pub and have everyone know your name…
Jake shook the thought away, rather selfish of him…
He continued on his walk. He didn’t have any plans, so he just walked rather aimlessly for the next hour, till he felt a familiar breeze brush across his back.
“Khonshu?”
“Jake Lockley? I had not expected you,” Khonhsu mused,
“What do you need?” Jake asked, wanting to cut to the chase
“Just curious to see what my little knight was up to this late, when I had given them the night off.”
“Ah, just talking a walk, boss,” Jake replied. A small pit of guilt rose in his chest; he didn’t mean for them to lose out on much-needed sleep.
“But what had brought you out?”
“Clueless as you, just woke up with no one around.”
Khonshu muttered something in response,
“Why the day off? Didn’t think you were charitable.”
“I am not as cruel as you and Marc think,” Khonshu said, of course, he didn’t give a real reason..
“I am sure he appreciated it,” Jake said,
“Knowing him, he thinks there is a catch.”
Jake chuckled, “Sounds like Marc.”
Even though Jake never met Marc, he knows so much about him, and cares deeply for him… too bad he can’t ever show himself to Marc.
“I will see you tomorrow night, I presume.”
“Depends on the mission, you know that.”
“Hm,” Khonshu said, before vanishing- that bird never liked finishing a conversation…
Lockley grabbed Steven’s phone; it was way later than he thought, so he started making his way back to the flat.
It was nice for a while, even this small outing was enough for him, enough to make up for the lost time, he so secretly craved…
As soon as he reached the flat, he generously decided to let the body get some rest, as he slowly fell asleep, hoping that he would get time again...
I have a prosposition (i dunno if anyone else has said this) that we, collectively as a fandom should write season 2 of moon knight. Though as a fanfic. If it's a collabrative effort, the story will likely continue to unfold and likely will be completed.
It'd be cool, since we wont get our season 2, why not make our own that has stuff we wanna see? If you're intrested, please comment on this post, & respost here on tumblr and share it on diffrent platforms!
