Please help me move out of my apartment
I am coming to you guys asking for help in a moment of absolute desperation. I hate asking for help from people I donāt know and I hate that I have to do this, but Iād really appreciate it if you could take a moment of your time to read this. I am currently asking for donations due to my living situation. My name is Ciel and I am mentally ill, trans, and gay. I moved out of my abusive household back in June of 2016 with my friend and have been living in this apartment since then. Iāve always had issues with my property management but this year my situation with them has steadily escalated.
Back on June 14th of this year our A/C began to leak through our ceiling and stopped working. We contacted our property management on three separate occasions asking them to come and fix it, getting three different stories each time as to why it was leaking. Each time they would send someone to āfixā the leak and the A/C, it would be fine for a couple of days before it gave out and started leaking again.
As of June 21st, I contacted our emergency service line letting them know that our ceiling was still leaking and retaining so much water I wasnāt sure if it would survive the night. Lo and behold I was awoken at 4 a.m. to my ceiling crashing down in my living room.
It is July 5th and we still do not have a working A/C ( in the middle of summer, in Florida, and on the second story of our home ) and our ceiling has yet to be fixed. On top of this somewhere along the way our hot water stopped working as well. We have continually called and e-mailed our property management only to be told that our landlord has changed ( without them even notifying us of the change ) and that a sheetrock company would be contacted along with the A/C repairman. Weāre going on week three with no moves to resolve these major issues in our home.
My roommate and I both have cats as well so this not only endangers us but also our animals. We canāt live in a place without a working A/C / hot water heater in the middle of summer in Florida. My only option for moving right now would be to move back in with my abusive father, which I canāt afford to for obvious reasons.
We are desperately trying to gather funds to move at the end of July if possible and are asking that if anyone has any money to spare please consider donating to my paypal.
