Drinking coffee this morning didn't give you as much pleasure as usual. Someone could think that a great weather accompanied by chirping birds sounds like a perfect start of the day, but it wasn't like this today. Your thoughts were occupied by a tall, muscular man you met yesterday and you couldn't stop them at all. Indeed, sounds pleasant, but almost a sleepless night was quite the opposite. You were so curious about what may happen today or next day that stopping different scenerios playing inside your head seemed impossible.
Eventually, you took your coffee outside and sat on a garden chair on your terrace. No sight of any neighbour allowed you to focus on your little ritual.
The voice of a boy you already recognise got to your ears. After taking a sip, you looked in the direction of a backyard next to your house. Gumi ran out of a building to kick a ball around. He seemed to be a bit grumpy, but he quickly forgot about it when he started playing. It put a genuine smile on your face.
Shortly after, his father left the house as well. Your eyes immediately hooked on his body and muscles that were visible through the tight black tank top he was wearing. Maybe, but just maybe there was a quick thought about what if his wife saw you like this. However, you have never seen a woman around them, so you dropped this.
"Dad, dad, let's play together!", Gumi shouted, running towards his father. Toji smiled genuinely and played football with his son a bit which melted your heart.
"Dad?", Gumi spoke again.
"You smiled a lot yesterday. That was weird".
"Sorry?" Toji blinked and so did you. However, Gumi got distracted and forgot about the topic immediately after his dad kicked the ball back.
Toji looked at your garden as if he was thinking about something deeply, but hearing Gumi again, he followed him.
"Yuji is back! Can I go to him?"
Indeed, you heard a car that probably stopped next to your neighbour's house. Then you heard another child and both of the kids went crazy after seeing each other. It made you happy but a little bit sad afterwards since you missed your students you had to leave in the previous school you worked in. You liked helping people and kids in particular, so views like that got your heart.
You saw Toji who talked with his neighbours if it's possible the boys can meet after they unpack their suitcases after the trip. They agreed so you knew that Toji will have a free afternoon today, unless he goes to work you didn't know about.
The neighbour you've been observing for some time already turned back on his heel and that was the moment he noticed you. Again, you felt like you weren't supposed to be here, but here it is. He was looking at you with a smirk on his face. The smirk that you remembered well from yesterday.
"Hi, neighbour", he spoke, waving his hand. "Sittin' on the terrace again, huh?"
You felt embarrassed and he looked like he knew his words will cause this.
"Hello", you answered. And then you realised your coffee was cold.
"Any plans for today?" He approached the fence just to cross and flex his arms on top of it.
"If my new neighbour agrees to come over to drink some coffee together, sure".
You gulped. For the nth time and just because of his words.
"Me?", you asked like it wasn't obvious already.
"Of course, doll. Someone wasn't sleepin' well tonight?", he raised his brow and laughed a bit seeing you nervous.
"Actually, I wasn't. It happens", you tried to smile it away but he knew better.
"Feel free to come over. Megumi will go to the Itadoris' house soon and play with their kid. Great people by the way". Toji pushed away from the fence and stood up straight. "You know where to find me".
And after those words, he went home and left you speechless. Cussing yourself after the talk with him didn't help you with deciding if it is a good idea to visit him later or not.
Not gonna lie, you don't have anything to do tonight, not even tomorrow. You are new here and you still don't know the town well so would it be a bad idea to at least get to know your neighbour? He seems to be talkative so you thought it couldn't be that bad, even though you don't know him.
You sighed and pressed the doorbell. What could possibly go wrong?
After a few seconds, you saw a man you had been observing for a while from a distance. Seeing him up close made you realise how well-build and tall he is, which overwhelmed you a bit.
"There she is", he smiled broadly. "Good to see you here".
Toji took your hand and goddammit, your face started burning when he kissed it like a gentleman. Warmth overtook your body and you didn't know what to do at this point.
"Come". After his gesture you entered the house. Nervous? That's an understatement.
"Pretty house", you said honestly but also just to say anything before you get more nervous.
"Thanks. We- I made it comfortable enough for Megumi. At least I tried and I hope he likes it.
"We?", you asked automatically but quickly apologised after you realised it could be too private. Toji looked at you and smiled gently.
"That's okay", he reassured. "Me and my wife".
"She passed away when she gave birth to Megumi, right after we did everything to make this place cozy".
"Don't be, really", he smiled it away. "It was six years ago."
"May I ask how old you are?"
"Thirty-three. Do I look my age?", he laughed. "No, don't answer that. I feel old already".
"Hey, you look good. I mean-".
Toji raised a brow and didn't say anything. Unless his smile has just signalised he liked what you said.
The man gestured you to take a seat in the living room on a sofa so you don't stand while he is making some coffee. You looked around to see some pictures of his son and a woman that was apparently his wife.
"I know I probably shouldn't", he spoke, "but can I ask about your age as well? You look younger than me". He asked but he wasn't even facing you because he was busy with a coffee machine.
"It's not a problem", you giggled. "Twenty-seven".
And that was the moment he looked at you like he didn't believe what you said.
"No, why would I?, you let a small laugh and in the meanwhile he brought two cups and put them on a table in front of you. He sat next to you, leaving some space between you both.
You didn't know how to react, but your stomach definitely did. A 'thank you' was all you could say right now because of the tension you felt. What is more, you weren't even able to look at this face at the moment so you just took a sip of coffee he prepared.
"Do I make you shy?", he asked like nothing happened.
His chuckle made you realise he enjoyed what he saw. Again. "You will hear nothing but the truth from me".
"Will I?", you turned your head.
Toji nodded and took a sip, looking into your eyes.
"May I ask some questions, then?"
"Sure, why do you think I invited you?" His smile gave you an idea he could mean a few things, but you chose to ignore it.
"What do you do? Do you stay with Megumi all day or maybe-".
"Let's say... I'm a freelancer, doll".
Seeing his smile you knew it will be kept as a secret. At least for now.
"Acting mysterious, hm?", you raised your brow and Toji put his cup down to lean against the couch facing you. His arm went on the backrest which made him be a bit closer to you.
"Maybe a little bit. And you? Any more hobbies than observing people around?"
You looked at him a bit scared but he continued showing his playful smile.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean anything bad, I was only..."
"Only what?", he interrupted you.
"I was waitin' who'll say hello first, but I couldn't play this game anymore".
Your eyes widened and you swallowed.
"Two weeks, doll. That's crazy".
You wished the ground would swallow you up. There is no way he... Just no.
"I was too shy. And I wasn't there on purpose, I swear. I was either reading a book or-"
"Tell me, am I imagining things?"
"No. You don't". Your body burns.
Toji, however, brushed your arm with his hand that was on a backrest for the whole time. Shivers went down your spine unanticipatedly.
"I hope you aren't scared of me, doll. I'm just teasin' you".
"You aren't?" His body leaned down to you. "If not, I'll stop".
"What do you want me to say? That you are fine as hell?"
"Damn you, Toji", you wanted to push him letting a big sigh but he grabbed your hand before it reached his chest. You looked into his eyes immediately and felt something you haven't before. Toji kissed your hand, for the second time today. It made you immediately calmer and the affection rose adequately.
He kissed your hand further. After seeing you really don't mind his actions, he continued till his head was pretty close to yours. You glanced at his lips and noticed the lip scar up close. Beforehand, you weren't paying attention to it even though it is so visible.
"Don't worry about that", he spoke, seeing what exactly you were looking at. And suddenly he lifted your head by using a thumb and an index finger which took you off guard. Your heart skipped a beat. "I won't do anything you don't want".
Toji moved closer so that you could feel his breath at your lips. The warmth made you feel exasperated and the feeling rose when you knew he smiled enjoying the moment. But finally he closed the distance between you two and your lips connected. Toji immediately pulled you closer by placing his strong arm around your back. As soon as he heard a whimper leaving your mouth, his hand went at the back of your head and then he licked your bottom lip to deepen the kiss right after. You couldn't believe what has just happened.
After a minute or two, Toji broke the kiss to let you breathe, but his eyes didn't leave your face, even for a second.
"You're beautiful, doll", he murmured and tilted his head a little. Then his thumb brushed your cheek and not even a minute passed before he kissed you again. However, this time he picked you up as if you weighed nothing and not breaking the kiss, he placed you on his lap. A moan left your mouth at the contact with a building up bulge in his pants. You glanced at him and it was obvious to you that he liked what he heard.
"Hm?", he murmured and continued kissing your face, just to reach your jawline right before placing his lips on your neck. You couldn't help it and let a quiet moan again. It's been ages since you had such an interaction so every kiss made you crazy.
Suddenly, you felt his warm hands on your back, under your t-shirt. The contact with your skin sent shivers down your body.
"Yes", you whispered, but when he lifted your t-shirt a bit more, a little bit of a panic entered your body. You liked his-, no, loved his touch but the fact that such a man was exploring your body seemed to be unreal.
"Raise your hands', he instructed firmly but affectionately so you listened to him without any hesitation. Toji dropped your t-shirt on the floor and then looked down your breasts, as if he got a some kind of reward. His hands went down the sides of your body and in the meantime he looked at your face lazily.
"It's so hot outside recently, I'm suprised I haven't seen ya in a bikini sunbathin' or anything like that before".
"I didn't want you to see me", you admitted immediately.
"But now here we are", he chuckled and then kissed your breasts tenderly. You looked down at him and the view of him kissing your body made you breathe faster and deeper. "Don't be scared, baby".
"I'm not", you lied which made him chuckle.
"Oh, yeah? You remember what I told ya, right?"
"I won't do anything you don't want", he whispered and somehow it made you calmer. Now you were the one who kissed him first, which was definitely like a win to him.
However, you both heard a sound of a doorbell. You looked at Toji who groaned as he knew who was behind it.
"I'm sorry, doll. I bet it's my child. I'm gonna open it before he throw a tantrum. So sorry".
"D-don't be". You left his lap and grabbed a t-shirt before anyone could see you shirtless. Toji stood up and kissed your forehead before he went towards the door. It made your heart beat faster. But in a different way this time.
"Dad?" You heard Megumi when Toji opened the door. "Give us some water, please".
And then you saw the boy with his pink haired friend.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Fushiguro", his friend spoke, grinning all the way.
"I told ya, it's Toji, kid", the man said and patted the boys on their heads. In the meantime, Megumi noticed you.
"Uhm, good afternoon", he said, a bit confused. "You're the neighbour my dad was talking about?"
"Megumi", Toji warned him. "I told you something".
Toji sighed loudly and shook his head. "Aren't you both supposed to be at your parent's house, Yuji?"
"Yes, but we ran around and we were so tired!", the boy with pink hair answered.
"You can't leave your house just like that, kids. What if something happened?"
"You'll make sure they regret it", Megumi quoted like he was bored already. Toji, however, squeezed his eyes and pinched the bridge of his nose like you weren't supposed to hear that. It made you curious.
"Alright, take some water and go back to the garden or whatever", the man rushed them, using a hand gesture. The children were gone in two minutes. "I'm sorry for them".
"No problem, Toji", you smiled gently. "Megumi is a smart child".
"Yeah, too smart sometimes", he sighed and got back to you. "Wanna another coffee? I think it's hella difficult to drink one in your presence, though".
You chuckled. "No, I'm good. Maybe tomorrow".
Toji raised his brows. "Tomorrow? It's settled then", he smiled in a cocky way just to pull you closer and kiss your passionately before you leave.
