☀️welcome to the island ☀️
☼ setting inspo from Beechwood Island from we were liars ☼ rp inspo slice of life, somewhat messy summer shows such as the summer i turned pretty, every year after etc… The island started out years ago as one house on this large island, a place for the family to escape for the summer, while as the family started to grow up they wanted to bring friends, then they all got older, having their own families and soon enough more houses went up. Now the island contains multiple houses, the main house; the original standing house, often used for weekly whole group dinners and events. Then one for each of the families invited. Though now a days, most the parents stay in the main house with the grand parents, and the children take over the remaining houses with their friends as they have become adults as well
Then the children grew up. They wanted to bring their best friends. Those friends became family. Eventually they all had children of their own, and the one home was no longer enough. So new houses were built across the island. One for each family that became part of this tradition. the original house remained at the heart of it all. Gullcrest still hosts weekly family dinners and now that another generation has come of age. The parents have moved back to Gullcrest, allowing their children the spaces that were created to continue to build the summer tradition. Some friends have been that way practically since birth, others are newer. The island also holds tensions from the relationships that once were, currently are, or even could be. ☼ What to Expect ☼ a small slice of lifegroup, with an emphasis on plotting with everyone as it will be a smaller group of members ☼ lots of dynamics to explore like: Long-standing friendships, family dynamics, childhood crushes, exes, slow burns, rivalries, secrets, and plenty more ☼ Character Notes ☼ will likely focus on characters between 20–25 years old. ☼ "Main" families are expected to come from wealthy backgrounds, as maintaining homes on the island has become a generations-long tradition. ☼ Friends invited into the group do not need to come from wealthy families.
