DEVPOST 1: Just to keep you updated~

As you can see above, we’ve finished the Stage 1 starters! Thanks again to Blu’s epic work in redesigning and switching up these babs!

On the number side of things: 

25 fakemon have been moves and statted and are awaiting various assets before they go into the code!

3 fakemon have been fully completed with numbers and assets and are ready to be implemented when we start the code!

The region map is in progress! We should have that ready before next week’s devblog!

HEY FELLAS! WE’RE BACK AND WE’RE WORKING HARD ON MAKING THIS GAME A REALITY!

Some updates - 

On the art and assets side of things, as well as @scribblygryphon we also have @bluwiikoon and @outer-spasexual on the team! Give them a big welcome everyone, they’re working super hard!

On the stats and number crunching team we have @tabby-paws and @lonely-sylveon! Both of them are working super duper hard crunching numbers behind the scenes and working out stats and movesets amongst other things for all of our fakemon!

Speaking of fakemon... Our starters have finally been finalised! Give Blu a huuuge great big hand for their help in redesigning Scribbly’s designs and making them infinitely cuter and easier to work with!

It’s able to mimic very complex classical music and does so joyfully. If it hears discordant sound, however, it gets angry and refuses to sing.

Are you a sprite artist who enjoys making edits? Would you like your name in the credits of an indie Pokémon fangame? Would you be interested in helping out two newbie game devs who have no idea what they’re doing really?

We’re looking for sprite artists to join the team who can cover the gaps that we can’t!

The kinds of sprites and edits we’d be asking for are:

Fakemon mini-sprites:

You know these sprites? Little icons of the Pokémon that appear on the PC and party screen? We need sprites like this for sixty Fakemon (Including Shiny versions).

We’re also looking for Overworld spritesheets:

And we’ll need one of these for

One Professor

Two Protagonists

One Rival

Two Team Leaders

Four Team Admins

Four Team Grunts (two male and two female)

Eight Gym Leaders

and Four Elite Four.

I’m going to say straight up and truthful that you won’t be recieving any compensation (money-wise) for any work on this project. It’s a labour of love by the two of us and we’re super flat broke to boot, so work on this project is on a volunteer basis. And if you’re not okay with that, that’s fine! I understand this situation isn’t to everyone’s liking.

You will, however, receive developer credit as an artist on the game, in the credits, on our Tumblr and Twitter and of course anywhere we post downloads of it if we decide to create a website or wiki.
