Maya walked out of her room, showered and dressed–not necessarily to impress, but dressed nonetheless. She stepped into the living room at 6:30, a smile on her face. “I am ready to kick ass.”

“It’s more than enough time,” she said, laughing lightly. “I’ll see you out here at 6:30.”

“Alright, 6:30″ he nodded, smiling

“Well, he did terrify me as a kid, so that might actually be a good choice,” she chuckled. “How.. long do I have until 7? Because I already look great, I know, but I can look better.”

“Bowser it is” he nodded, smiling “Well thats about three hours- is that enough time” he teased

“Well, we certainly have to wear your most intimidating nerd shirts,” she teased. She nodded. “7,” she repeated. “So… I should’ve started getting ready yesterday.”

“So maybe the Bowser ones?” he laughed “Yeah, yesterday is a good time” he added, joking

Maya shrugged, a small smile on her face. “I.. wouldn’t mind. We might seem more… intimidating.”

“I’ll even let you pick the most intimidating shirts you can find” he laughed “Oh, also its at 7 just so you know when to start getting ready”

“I never lose,” she stated. "So are you saying we should match? Because, I kind of agree. But only if you’re saying that.”

“I mean- if you're cool with it. If you want to I want to”

“This time? What about all the other times I’m going to be winning?” She asked. Maya nodded. “Oh yes, I’ve noticed. At first, I thought you’d just wear the exact same shirt over and over,” she said. “If we matched, would that make us more team like or something?”

“Who said I'm gonna let you win every time??” he teased “Oh, yeah, no I don't just wear the same shirts.” he nodded “If we matched I think people would be like- oh shit, look at that team, they got their shit down”

She laughed a little more, trying to forget the ridiculous thing that had just come out of her mouth. “That’s completely untrue, have you seen me? If anything, it’s the other way around,” Maya told him. “Okay, yeah. I don’t know why I keep forgetting that part..”

“Alright alright ill give it to you this time” he chuckled “But if you decide you want to match, I'm sure you've noticed I have several of duplicate shirts”

“I–” Maya laughed a little. “No, we don’t have to. It’s was kind of a stupid thing to suggest, anyway. Us.. match. That’d be dumb, we’d look like a couple. Or.. twins-”
