When it all comes to a head, Morgan knows ne needs to get out. Grabbing the box of things ne’d always kept, now with new additions, Morgan takes a few things and runs, runs and runs. So in love with nemself, and now ne can’t even look at nemself. Everything reminds nem of Levi and what happened and Morgan trembles with self loathing. What used to be self love turns into self hate, and ne wallows in it. Some people contact nem, old art dealer friends. They ask nem for pieces, putting their hands on nirs shoulder and say that just working will make everything better. They think it’s a heart break -- they don’t know it’s worse than that. And ne tries, ne tries art again. But everything is wrong, and Morgan burns it all, watching the fire consume years worth of art, and a wicked thought passes through nirs brain. ‘I should have burnt the skin.’ After the fire, Morgan turns to drugs. It makes sense -- drugs and artists have been best friends since the dawn of time. It’s self expression all over again, and Morgan spends days upon days on the floor of nirs apartment, intoxicated and looking to forget. It’s as if the toxins in nirs body will give nem the forgiveness ne needs, the forgiveness ne craves. And it takes years for someone to notice Morgan’s pain -- for someone so in love with nemself, Morgan had successfully made little friends. Using the money ne had left, Morgan went into rehab, and was in and out of there for a few years, falling back into something stronger each time, fighting off withdrawal and waking up having soaked through nirs sheet. It was the performance of a life time. Morgan still smokes, dropping those habits to keep an old one. Nirs hands tremble a bit now, constantly, but ne’s slowly bringing nemself back into nirs work. There’s been no performances in over five years, but every time someone asks ne says ne’s working on it -- and it’s going to be big. But there’s paintings that ne sells. But every time ne hears that name, or sees a sculpture, there’s a lump in nirs throat. And ne ducks and hides when their paths cross, watching the back of his head because it’s all ne can bring nemself to have. There’s a bite left though, and Morgan will never allow anyone to look down on nem. Which is why ne has returned to Barton Hollow, accepting this time to teach a graduate level workshop for a week. They still adore nem -- they still think ne’s someone.
