I’m completely okay with my art being used in video edits or reposted with proper credit, but I do not allow my artwork to be edited or altered in any way.

It's come to my attention through my inbox that my kerdly art from last year has been edited in a very disgusting manner. This unfortunately isn’t the first time my art has been subjected to something like this. I’ve tried to ignore it and continue focusing on drawing what I love but it has become really discouraging.

I’ve already been on an abrupt hiatus for a while due to being busy with IRL and personal matters. Seeing my art being treated this way has only made me feel even more discouraged about sharing my work publicly.

Because of this I think I’ll be taking some more time away. If I can gather the courage to share my art again, I’ll come back.

I still genuinely appreciate everyone who has left kind comments, supported my work, and enjoyed the things I’ve created. It means a lot to me. But I think I’ve simply reached my limit for now and need some time away.

I always get so excited about discovering the world and travelling until I remember that I'll get called slurs at best and actually killed in quite a few countries at worst, just because I'm queer. And then I actually get miserable that I won't be able to visit a number of countries in the near future, maybe never. Never experience their culture, speak to them, ask them about their experiences and their lives...
