*looking around* Where is Seiko?
Boots crunch snow beneath them as someone in the night walks, with or without a purpose it's not clear. They take the time to light a cigarette and puff out a smoky cloud of air.
A few more drags are taken, before they head off to the foundation building.
"..." Nozomi quietly picks at their plate, seeming to move food more than eat it. Their eyes are focused on the spot in front of them on the table, and yet somewhere else entirely. They'd managed to put away the claws and teeth and horns, that was something, at least?
"..." Sock eats their food in almost an animalistic haste, like someone will try to take it from them. Stuffing their mouth to avoid having to talk if any of the big kids or their mother asks a question.
"..." Mitsu can't bring herself to eat, stress apparent on her face. Another sip of cocoa. She meekly excuses herself and clears her place, muttering something about brushing teeth before bed and not staying up too late. A null request, no one would sleep well.
"..." Tea silently looks around at her family and frowns. No one's much for conversation at the dinner table tonight, it seems.
"Where's Seiko?"
The youngest had been the first to ask what everyone had been wondering, aside from... other pressing matters. He'd agreed to come home for dinner, help their mother with wrapping gifts and whatever else she needed at the moment.

A woman sits in a room, looking at her son blankly. Her demeanor is calm, despite everything he's told her. Her grip on the chair's armrests is deathly, knuckles white from the strain.
"I see..."
"I-I'm so sorry, mother... I did what was best, wh-what I thought-"
"Hush now, Xerxes. It will be alright."
Iwao was hesitant to call Mitsu, but he made it anyways, they needed to be on the same page about all of this. [poorly-drawn-akira]
The woman answers the phone fairly calmly, tucked between her ear and shoulder while she helped Sock tie their shoes.
"Hello, Hagiwara residence, this is Mitsu?"

I know I really haven’t been active like at all the past few months beyond spotty posts here and there and I’m really really sorry for that. I’ve been going through a lot, new things in my life, trying to be responsible and that shit. I promise I will post more soon but I am struggling with certain issues right now so please please be patient with me! Thank you.
A rather familiar green haired girl paces by in the hospital, before poking her head in Eijiro's room. Whatever little scowl on Nonon's face was replaced with a look of... concern? Disgusted pity? (moriohs-little-demon)
Eijiro looked over, but he, unusually, seemed to be in shock. He made a small noise that was definitely him trying to speak, but it died in his throat. He was gripping the rails of the bed like his life depended on it even through whatever he'd been given to manage his pain.
The cast went up almost his entire leg.

"Oh. My. Gawd." She blinks, once, twice.
"What the HELL did you do this time, Otoishi? Like, I know you're danger prone but like, this doesn't seem like something you'd do. Did someone like, jump you?"
"i... ih-it br-bruh-broke itself."
Eijiro sounded like he was about to cry.
The girl pauses for a second, as if pondering a thought. She shakes her head.
"Nuh uh. I don't believe it for a second. Has to be some weird magic thing."

Mitsu looked at the little boy rather surprised, unable to form a sentence for a moment. God, what had it been this time?
“Ah...? Go on, then, don’t hurt yourself waiting.”
Eijiro nodded and pulled on the locked door insistently a few times, "mm." He darted off again towards the small wall that surrounded the house, "nuh-nii... i need thuh-the keyyyy..."
The woman looks a bit concerned, pulling out her own key she’d kept for emergencies to unlock the door. She turns the lock, and steps inside.
It’s gonna be a long day, isn’t it? She sighs.
