Selfish - PnB Rock
Selfish is interesting, because when you see the title it seems like the artist is talking about someone. PnB Rock is really talking about himself and how he is selfish. He wants the girl that he has been talking to all to himself. I like this song because he shows a lot of compassion for his girl and does not want anything bad to happen to her. My soundtrack is based around memories and love. this song does a pretty good job at explaining all of it.

This song is one of J. Coles more popular songs from 2014. it is one of his slower songs. i like it because it has more meaning than other songs that he has written. J. Cole comes form a hard backround. this songs belongs in my soundtrack because it has nostalgia. it reminds me of when i was younger and had less things to worry about.
ROS - Mac Miller
Mac Miller tries to create a love song. it is considered slower rap and has a great beat to it. I love this song because it reminds me of when I was a sophomore in high school. I used to listen to this song on the way to school and when I would come home. Mac Miller died a few months back and it hit me pretty hard. He might have not been considered the best person to look up to but he had good intentions and wrote music that helped people who were going through tough times. This song fits into my soundtrack because of the beat and how it tells a true story.

this song starts off very slowly and sounds sentimental. it hits the heart right from the start. with the smooth singing and instruments it creates a happy place that will more than likely put a smile on your face. one day is about how maybe the world will one day be a whole and be united. this song works with my soundtrack. I am trying to keep this soundtrack sentimental and inspirational for my viewers. it is supposed to tell a story and that is what this song does.
The Way Life Goes - Lil Uzi Vert
I actually wrote about this song earlier in the semester. it has a few meanings to it. Lil Uzi tries to get a point across that life is going to keep going weather you like it or not. it is sometimes hard to grasp, but you have to understand that. I like this song because every time I listen to it I feel more calm about what is going on in my life. this is the fourth song in my soundtrack. this song had to be in the soundtrack to make it more wholesome. I have struggled with holding onto the past so this helps.

This song is simply just a heart breaker. drake talks about how he is in a long-distance relationship and keep seem to find a way to keep his lover close to him. I like this song because it shows how life isn't always fair when you need it to be. it can be hard to overcome adversity. this song falls into my soundtrack probably the best. not because I have had a long distance relationship, but because I have felt the pain that he expresses in his lyrics.
