Just My Luck (Open)
The sun beat down hard in a last ditch effort to prolong summer. Today was a fantastic day for swimmers and any water enthusiasts in general to make the most of their element. A big crowd was gathered around a surfing competition at a nearby beach, and there was much fuss and noise and hip hip hooray to do over there.
A few yards away from all of that was a woman in a yellow dress, sitting by herself on a sleepy looking Lapras, and talking to something in the water.
Meowth was comfortable in his Pokeball today - any ocean training was the one thing that would convince it to go up for a rest.
Chooooou!
Two little yellow lanterns popped up from beneath the waves, and the woman started to clap.
“That’s great, Venus! You’re getting to be such a fast swimmer!” Exclaimed Shandra. The Pokemon chirped happily.
That only lasted for a second. Someone lit a firework near the shore in celebration of the surfing competition - and Chinchou did not like that one bit. It jumped about a foot in the air, then vanished beneath the water, a faint glow zipping away in a panic.
“Lancelot! Follow him!” Shandra exclaimed, but the Lapras yawned. She tapped on its shell impatiently. “I’m serious! Venus could hurt herself swimming erratically like that!”
The chinchou sped away just below the waves, as fast as it possibly could.

The cause for all the excitement at the surfing competition, was his fault. Steven had turned up, and word spread fast, and what should have been a fun cosy event turned into a rather excited crowd screaming and cheering for him, trying to impress him.
He waves his hands awkwardly, trying to calm them down. The other surfers weren’t angry, just worried for his safety in particular, and so they initiated a plan to help him escape.
