THE GENOCIDE IN GAZA ISN'T OVER YET
I know it has been so long and people are getting tired of hearing about Gaza, but the war isn't over. It has been going for over a year and a half and we have been hearing about it all over social media ever since.
But imagine what the people there are going through, imagine the suffering, the hunger, the sickness, the devastation...
War is brutal and there are people experiencing it everyday. This is the reality for the people in Gaza, they don't have the privilege of imagining what it would be like; they wake up everyday and this is their life. Children are dying, women are dying, men are dying, countless people are dying. The numbers prove that this isn't just any war, this is a genocide. Israel aims to erase Palestine and all its people with it.
This genocide hasn't been going on for one year and a half only, it has been a constant thing for Palestinians since the 1940s. It has been hidden from western media, but it has always been brutal. I am Lebanese and I have always known about this genocide, and I thought it was common knowledge. I was surprised to see how many people were unaware of the horrors committed by Israel; it has effected my country as well.
But the situation at the moment requires urgent attention, especially in Palestine and more importantly in Gaza. They are being bombed daily, they don't have food, water, shelter, belongings, nothing.
I want to tell you the story of my friend Moataz.
He is a journalist from Palestine and he has dedicated his life to spreading awareness about the reality of living there and the inhumane things they are subjected to everyday and everywhere in Palestine.
He was newly married, before the war started, to his wife Hoda. During the war, Hoda became pregnant. But they lost their new home from bombs and had to flee. Since then, they have been displaced four times and consequently lost all their belongings. They survived through the tough winter and are trying to survive this summer. But it's hard, living in camps and having no clean water, or even no water at all. And little to no food. Instable financial sources.
As a result of this (Malnutrition, blood poisoning, contaminated water) Hoda lost her child. She had to go into an early delivery, and their baby didn't survive. Their child was killed. And naturally, Hoda is experiencing severe psychological trauma. She is ill and doesn't have the proper healthcare opportunities.
They barely have any food and don't have enough money to buy some. They are in urgent need of financial support.
If you have any amount of money to spare (anything counts, even a dollar), please donate.

And if you can't, just take less than a minute off your day to spread awareness and reach people who are able to donate.
And lastly, please never stop boycotting. You DONT need these companies to survive. I have gone my whole life without engaging with any of them, having been aware of their stance and the importance of cutting them off, and I am fine! You can do it too!
