The draft should not exist. Drafting people into the military is a violation of human rights. You should not be able to force someone to risk their life. I started out majoring in engineering, but honestly, due to my very specific math based brainworms, I could never do a lot of engineering jobs. Like to me math is kinda like an art. like when you have a really good equation and everything just clicks into place, i have a kind of reverence for it. I mean here you have this thing that can tell you new interesting and useful things about the world and corporations want to use it to figure out how to screw over their workers a little bit more. How to make their product a little cheaper, fuck quality and fuck how wasteful it may be! the company is saving 0.00000001 cents per unit! To me it's perverse, it's like using starry night to roll cigarettes. Like yeah I guess it technically works but it's definitely disrespectful and also maybe it would be better for everyone if we didn't make cigarettes at all? I guess my point is that math shouldn't be used to make things worse.
