Yo… I think you have officially converted me on kinger x ragatha. It just makes too much sense even if it feels kind of toxic at first. Ragatha is legit the mom friend and Kinger tends to act as a father figure a lot. Ragatha has been around the second longest out of the group and it sounds like her appearance got Kinger out of a real bad depression after what happened to his wife. Ragatha spends so much time worried about others that the idea of having just ONE person just take care of her for once is just too sweet even if Kinger feels more paternal in the show… I mean the gal has mommy issues. Maybe someone like him, who is actually helping her get her needs met, would be the perfect start of a romance however ill advised that would be in real life… but hey, it’s a digital circus and they are trapped for all eternity…why not? Let Ragatha have her “daddy” fr. Plus 30 and 49 is actually not even that bad, I think it’s more how one would shift to the relationship written the show to a romantic ship that I get stuck on but your Schism fic pretty much does away with that whole problem by the nature of being an AU. I guess what im trying to say is… holy shit you are a really good writer and I NEED MORE.
