art for me can feel very discouraging because i look at others’ work and think “i’ll never be able to create things like that.”

and it’s true! my stuff will never look like [xyz artist i admire].

and i shouldn’t want it to! my art will only ever look like my own.

isn’t it wonderful to be in a world with so many artists, who produce things that nobody else can?
