Statement REVISED
Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Key (Black) are essential to most print design, each color important in its own right, all four coming together to bring out a broad color spectrum that can be present in print. CMYK stands for the names of the specific inks, but it also is representative the subtractive four-color process print that is often applied in individual plates, creating a printed design. The entire process occurs on the surface of fibers pressed together, a material more commonly known as “paper.” This surface binds the inks together and allows for the presentation of a design as a whole. Our work goes through a similar process where inspiration, vision, creativity and application of skill are closely interwoven into every design we compose. Finally, our concept corresponds to the paper, a harmonious space in which we can present our ideas and ourselves. CMYK, from a designer’s standpoint, is a part of our bread and butter, and it represents a vessel to showcase our hard work and educational experience.
