favorite headcanons

- gotta start with the fandom favorite aka connor as markus' bodyguard <3 IT'S SO ELITE and it makes so much sense when you analyze their backstories and interactions throughout the game. plus the angst potential is *chef's kiss*

- markus is an early bird and connor is a night owl. connor is adorably grumpy in the mornings and markus is like a grandpa ready for bed once the sun disappears from the horizon. cue connor forcing markus to stay in bed to cuddle in the mornings vs. markus dragging connor to their bed to sleep at 2AM

- they interface. a lot. they have endless inside jokes, they can have a conversation with just their eyes, they are simply so intimately aware of the other's thoughts and feelings even when miles a part that everyone agrees it's GROSS and SAPPY

unusual headcanons

- MARKUS HAS SCARS FROM THE JUNKYARD AND FROM GETTING SHOT AND CONNOR KISSES THEM. especially the one around his eye and above his thirium pump. also markus is only vulnerable around connor bc he trusts him more than anyone else <3

- connor fell in love (or at least recognized the feeling) FIRST. i know this might be controversial bc of the way connor is portrayed but he was designed to be very much in tune with his emotions in order to manipulate situations. whereas markus is used to shoving his needs aside, he knows he admires and respects connor but love??? he doesn't realize it until someone (north) screams it in his face in exasperation

- i know everyone loves the idea of them having rings that glow blue (ME TOO DON'T GET ME WRONG) but what if... hear me out... they have rings designed from the metal of the jericho ship 😵‍💫 it's a simple gray band and it symbolizes so much both relationship-wise (first meeting, markus helping connor become deviant, the fight for survival, etc.) and it acts as a remembrance of those who were lost, memories, a beacon of hope.
