Hi, I'm Matt, and I'm the manager for the amazing theme park Mouseland! All the employee's love it here, because it's such a nice park. Please go visit. We need this.

Allow me to introduce myself! I'm Matthew Calderon, but my friends call me Matt. I'm a guy (He/They), and 25 years old! Currently single (please don't persue me), but a proud bisexual! Currently the manager of this fine amusement park, and enrolled in college studying to become a hospice worker!

Hello! I'm Sun (he/they), the owner of this acc! My main blog is @sunnierthantheskies. Check it out if you want! (But please be aware I am a minor so don't be creepy.)

Now, this rp is not like most. This is an interactive one, meaning that you will join the roleplay and be your own oc. It will work like most roleplays, in the since that you can post funny tangents and stuff like that. However, it will have a storyline to it. So if you do join, be aware that some of it will have some kind of plot you'll have to follow with the rest of this.

This acc will be the main one, and kind of the center of the roleplay. This rp will be open to everyone, but be aware you wont be automatically accepted. If I don't already know you, I will do a lil check on just what you post overall and interview. To be allowed to be in the rp, be aware you have to meet these critereon :

You cannot be a racist, homophobe, or any of that

You cannot have a problematic history. I don't want drama involved in this project

If you don't like anyone involved in this rp, either just don't join or swallow your pride and be civil. You don't have to like everyone, but you can't be problamatic

You have to be easy to work with

Now that I have listed the requirements to be involved in the project, I'm going to list the requirements once in said roleplay. (Sorry there's so many things here but I just want to make this place safe.)

You will have to tag this blog in your intro Post for your blog, so everything can be traceable.

You can have a romantic roleplays if the other person consents, but it can't be freaky whatsoever. Keep it tame and normal, nothing weird.

You can use photos in your blog from Pinterest, but if it's from picrew tag the creator

Your character must be above the age of 18, as this fictional location takes place in California and the laws make it a requirement that to operate rides you have to be over 18.

If you are roleplaying someone who's a bit older, you can't have even a hint of romance with characters who are younger. This means that if your character is 64, you can't be calling a 19 year old character "hot".

You can't leak the plot to people not in the project cause it's meant to be a bit secret yk?

No trash talking any of the cast. If you don't like someone, keep it to yourself.

You can curse, but no slurs or anything.

This isn't required, but there will be a discord server made for anyone who wants to participate. Fans can join too, but you won't be able to see channels meant for cast members

Characters with mental illness/disabilities are allowed please just do your research if you don’t actually suffer from it and don’t do harmful stereotypes!

Have fun! This is meant to be a good time, not something stressful! If you ever need to take a break, just let me know!

Fun Fact and shit about Matt!

This is just kinda compilation of just things about my oc, along with some juicy lore!!! Hope you enjoy!!!

Suffers from anxiety, which means he's constantly afraid that something is behind him whenever he has his back turned. He's also horrified of the dark, and can't handle deadlines for the life of him.

A huge pussy when it comes to horror. Gore sure, but once you add horror to the equation he's out. Jump scares are his worst nightmare

Addicted to playing solitaire. No joke there is thirty tabs open on all of his devices with solitaire matches

He's currently attending college to become a emergency physician. He'd probably hate the job and love it at the same time (Secretly wishes to be a teacher though)

Speaks Spanish and a tad bit of Italian (he learned it off Duolingo).

Not close with either of his parents, and his relationship with his siblings is a bit tense in all honesty. His older brother and sister despise him, while his little sister barely sees him and therefore doesn't care about him. He never really goes home for holidays.

He's such an animal lover it's not even funny. Currently he only has a pet mouse, but he plans on adopting a ferret sometime soon.

Has two tattoos on him. One is of a derpy little axolotl, and the other is of a club he joined in middle school.

Plays guitar, but is way too shy to brag about it to anyone else. He also likes to knit in his free time.

Super short. He's only 5'2. Can barely reach some of the kitchen cabinets. His apartment has a little step stool.

Barely any friends, but wishes he could have a trusted friend group. He would love to just go on friend hangouts and mess around at a park or something.

Broke as hell. Being the manager at a shitty amusement park does not pay well whatsoever. Most of the time he just eats ramen for dinner and rides his bike everywhere.

Super accident prone. He's burned his hands multiple times, and twisted his ankle while going down the stairs. Despite that, he's never actually broken a bone.

Softie for philosophy. He absolutely loves it. Half the time, he'll just zone out and think about life as a whole. He even has a little journal full of observations.

The break room was silent, all the employees on their phones or simply just staring off into space without a care in the world. No one made a peep, except for the parks mascot who was doing TikTok’s by the kitchen sink.

Suddenly, without a proper warning, Matt burst in holding a pass that read “Dinner for 2” and a logo for [insert your favorite restaurant]. “Great news! My boss said that for this months employee of the month, I get to take one of you out for dinner!” (PURELY PLATONICALLY!!)

“I just need to choose who though….”

Jett quirks a brow at the sudden exclamation from Matt, quick to nearly pop in his other earbud and ignore him... but the prospect of the dinner was very enticing. Jett ate like shit and he had the build to prove it, so actual food and not just whatever he bought at the 7/11 while stoned or raided out of Inali's pantry sounded pretty damn good. Plus, given his history, he thinks he's pretty damn deserving of it. Fuck those other bitches.

His legs swing from over the table, boots making heavy contact with the floor as he snakes his way over to Matt's side, wrapping an arm around the man's shoulder. The scent of burnt herb and chemical fog machine fluid was nothing but evident. "Heyyy, Matt. My guyyy." He drawls, grinning lazily but pointed with intent. "You remember how I'm like... Basically a non-paid mechanic slash repairman that you send to fix all the rides when they malfunction because we can't afford a real repair team? And probably alsssooo the time I showed you how to fix your bummy engine? Remember that? Just thought I'd mention. The good times really do fly..." He hums, sparing the pointed look. "And, y'know, people like us are just so... uh... underrepresented. Unappreciated. You are by far my best manager ever. Never had a reason to complain! Unlike some..." He chirps, accusation evident. He leaves out the fact that Matt is his only ever manager. It's not that relevant at the moment.

Avery can't help but roll her eyes at the tone of Jett's words and the way he eyes the other employees in the room. She knows any argument or disagreement will likely light an unpleasant spark in him, but she doesn't really care at this point. It's not anything she isn't used to anyways.

"Thank you so much for your efforts and hardwork, Jett," she says, surprisingly not at all sarcastically (despite her tone), because she knows he really is of great help in maintaining many rides of the park. "But don't go taking all the credit, will you...? Don't forget that my beloved Castle is all my work. No other soul involved."

Closing her eyes and raising a finger one after another, she begins to enumerate some of the key, unforgettable features of the Castle that couldn't originally be found there before. "The lights, sound effects, pretty colors, magically opening curtains and doors... From just a plain old house solely called a 'castle'..." she shoots a very brief, judgeful look at Matt, who turns away in slight embarrassment. "...Me and my—yes, my—programming, tech, as well as acting and speaking skills, were the ones that actually turned the Castle into a place the public can be truly fascinated by. All for free too, by the way! You're welcome~" Avery, still seated in her chair, bows her head down slightly with a forced smile.

"...Well, of course. Not to strip you of your freedom of choice, or say that nobody else is worthy of the title or anything. But I'm just saying, I wouldn't think I'm tooo far down in the list of candidates for 'Employee of the Month'... Y'know what I mean~?" Avery's eyes avert back to her phone, where they originally were. "...Plusss, a free dinner doooes sound pretty nice... Can't say I've been eating all that well recently either......" she mumbles under her breath, seemingly a thought intended only for herself.

Inali isn't even shocked by the sheer audacity coming off of jett in droves, which coming from the guy raiding his pantry bi-weekly. But also from him and Avery, both sitting pretty comfortable in something like (sometimes partial)AC during this California may.

So with something of a farmers tan on her left arm they raised their brows a little, clearing his throat to make herself known. "It's certainly great you both manage your jobs so well. You're both well skilled." Thats when their eyes fix on Matt.. Awfully familiar shirt. Inali swore it was one he'd mended. Actually. So are Jetts pants.

When had Inali started doing repairs on everyone's stuff..?? But. The dinner, it'd be. Nice, a good excuse to wear something nice. Eat good food without feeling his wallet pang in regret.

And some of it is pettiness because jett threw him under the bus, and both him and Avery are bragging about the same things inali does for her respective ride. So why not Toss their hat into the ring?. "Matt. I've done four different sets of paint repairs, and full Carrousel clean ups this week. In this weather. And have been repairing, you're and. just about everyone's clothes." lace additions withstanding "if this is about doing things outside our job description. It'll be a tight race. Jett did teach me some small technical repairs too so. Credit and so on." He adds, before settling leaned against the wall, the decision was up to matt in the end after all.

Lukas was silent through everyone's "convincing." He stared down at the sketchbook in his lap, poorly drawn figures of the others scribbled in. He wanted that dinner but knew he didn't have the shot the others did. He could try convincing Matt, but he wasn't too fond of Lukas over the others. Maybe he should be nicer.

"I mean," He began, looking up from his lap, "I don't think I have the reasons you do, but I've been eating a lot of cup-o noodles lately..." He glanced around at the others. Their faces were quite blank, or just dismissive. He was not going to win this. "I do get AC... And an easy job... But it's really boring compared to your guys." He tried.

Their faces didn't change, and they turned their attention back to Matt. Hm. He thought Inali should get the dinner. Or Jett. Jett was rude, kind of arrogant. Then again, so was Lukas. Inali was nice, and he had good sewing skills. Avery was also nice, but she seemed like she had it easier than the others.

"You should invite all of us." Lukas commented, before turning his attention back to his sketchbook.

Matt sat there in contemplation for a minute, thinking about what to do. Either way, someone would be mad. But he still had to choose someone.

Matt drags himself into the break room, looking exhausted. His hair is a mess, there’s a bunch of paint all over his face, and he currently has a bite mark on his arm. Overall, he looks like a mess.

“You guys will not believe the day I had. First I got attacked by seagulls while eating fries, then some girl spilled paint all over me, and some dog bit me! What is going on?!”

He barely noticed the figurative lightbulbs clicking over all his employees heads.

"Oh, uh. Hey matt." Lukas greeted. They looked suspicious, like they were plotting something. All of the employees were sitting around the break room table, hunched over talking before matt walked in. They stared at him, trying to seem less awkward.

"What uhm. How did that happen?" Lukas asked. He awkwardly smiled at matt, that was weird. Lukas didnt smile at matt.. at all.

Jett narrows his eyes, quirking a brow at Matt's comments. He held an ice pack to the side of his head, sleeves tattered with jagged tears along the fabric.

"The day you had, Matt?" He perks up, looking himself like he'd wrangled a wild bull and lost. Well, bulldog, to be specific. "And it just didn't occur to you that you should, I don't know, tell someone about the wild dog on the fuckin' loose? That little... thing ran through my queue and I had to wrestle that mutt to the floor! It pissed in my line! On my tracks! I do the repairs and cleaning on that y'know!?" He snaps, head throbbing from his own noise level.

"And how would a little girl even get access to our paint? Like the paint cans we keep locked in the storage rooms in the theatre?" He questions, tone flat. "You know. The ones that are meant to be locked. So there's no access to things like, for example, our paint cans." He adjusts his grip on the ice. "And maybe, I don't know, a paint spill would also cause kids to step in the spill and then— can you guess where they go? On our rides, yes." He huffs, settling back into his chair.

Ooc - Jett in a bad fuckin mood lmaoo, i assumed the episode plot was like... trying to tie matts blunders back to the employees so i gave room for that,,, yah :3

Inali, after bracing for Jetts.. quite reasonable outburst, Cranes their neck up the small bit it takes to have his head peak out from above the others from her side of the table. For someone so deadpan it almost looked like their cheek was twitching. "Jetts right. Real interestin' shade of paint . Huh Matthew." Inali's usual flatness reads more openly like he's.. perturbed?. "Real bad day,"

Raising a brow and reaching to adjust the ice in Jetts hand the smearing flecks of paint of those same hues on Matt are spattered across Inali along with a pretty hefty set of little shoe shaped bruises to their arm and jaw. "Cause. There was little girl just. Utterly covered in paint, just. All over the carousel today. Got it on a lot of the seats. The other kids too. Had Real fun having to ask them to leave." Which is to say said kid kicked him. "Far as I was aware we don't have keys to the paint closet. You do."

Avery, sitting back in her chair with her shoes up the table (it's a habit she picked up from Jett. not the best one, but it's harmless), significantly less affected compared to the others, but still visibly annoyed. "Real monsters, huh? The bulldog and the girl in paint..." she says as she eyes Jett, still glaring at Matt while seemingly holding back a wince of pain.

Suddenly, Avery reaches for her baton resting against the table, and starts waving it up in the air as she laughs. "Haha! Well, fortunately for me, I got off completely unharmed! The magic of the Castle walls protected me from those evil spirits, as they always have! Isn't it great~?"

...An awkward silence in the breakroom. Avery can feel everyone's gazes, some even angry, piercing through her soul. She immediately takes back her words, clearing her throat, and clarifies, now more deadpan, "The gates."

"I locked the Castle gates temporarily when Inali said the kid reached the Carousel, since, well, it isn't too far off."

"I diiiiidddd see some people standing outside the Castle, wondering why it was closed. Some were unhappy, but hey, I'd rather spare myself the trouble of cleaning up a possible mess if the cause were able to get in in the first place. Plus, other visitors'd be bothered too!"

"But I think we've all thought of a certain conclusion here, haven't we?" Avery eyes each of the employees, like she's seeking some silent approval. Then, baton still in hand, she points it to Matt. "None of this would've gotten so far if not for your irresponsibility and incon—.. in— uh..." she awkwardly tries to remember the word. "...inconsideration, Matt."

Matt lets out an awkward laugh, looking at Avery like she's insane. "Me?? How on earth is it my fault?"

"Matt, my guy. You're supposed to be Mouseland's manager. But considering alllll this shenanigans happened to you inside the park and you didn't even think to do anything about it—not even about the little girl—and you just let them get off loose and reach your park's rides? Several of them, might I add? Surely you get what I mean by now. I mean..."

Avery lowers her baton, the sound of it clacking against the floor echoing across the room. She takes out her phone, no longer paying any mind to anyone else in the room, as she mutters under her breath, "Your boss wouldn't be too happy about this, now, would he~?"

Lukas huffs, "Averys right Matt. You're the manager, all of this? Its your fault." Avery very quickly smirks at Lukas.

"I think its a good idea letting your boss know... I mean, this is a lot for someone of your lower status."

He gives matt a sour smile, and matt returns it by frowning, "you wouldnt dare do anything.."

Everyone smirks, tilting their heads down to hide them, stiffling laughs in their hands or covering them with a cough. The room is silent.

"Oh, don't go scaring him like that, Lukas. The poor guy!" Avery says, but her slick smirk seems to contradict her words of sympathy. "It's not like we mere employees have the power to get you fired over one incident, so you have nothing to worry about. Most we could do is probably, hm... perhaps, get you reprimanded~?" Avery hears a frustrated noise coming from someone, and even with her eyes on her phone, hands typing away to their boss, she can just tell it was from Matt.

Her fingers hover over the letters of her keyboard, pressing each one to form her message much slower now. "...You're a nice guy, Matt." Some quiet protests from others around the table can be heard. Regardless, Avery continues. "But Mouseland's already gotten enough weird looks after... that incident at the Carousel and Manor. The least we could do to keep this place alive is protect what we can. And today, well... I'm just saying, you kinda failed that task, man!"

"...I just don't want anymore trouble, 'kay?" She shoots an odd smile to Matt, who doesn't reply with words, but a sad, yet somehow understanding, look.

When Avery's message to their boss finally gets delivered, she gets up from her seat and prepares to leave. "Welp, that's that! Better get back to w—"

Avery gets interrupted again when the employees hear sounds of chaos and commotion. Lukas and Eli react and move immediately, while the other three are frozen. Avery, experiencing an unsettling déjà vu, clasps her hands together and starts praying to... whatever god's up there. Even then, she means every, single, word. "Good lord, not again..."

“Great, now there’s two reasons for me to be fired.” I got up, shoving my way to the door, only for a swarm of geese to bombard me. They seemed a bit angry, as rather than just honking they were pecking and biting at me. They managed to get me down, but I was able to at least protect my face.

“Why are the geese so angry?!” I tried to kick them off, but they kept going, as if they were fueled by some innate anger. One managed to grab my shoe off, and began pecking my foot. “A little help here?!”

Jett looks perturbed at the sight of the birds. "Jesus Christ. Why the fuck is this place becomin' a free range zoo?!" He shouts. Where the hell the geese came from? He had no idea, really. The relevance? No idea either.

Despite his annoyance, he was rooted to his spot. If anything, he was inching away actively. His eyes dart around and he wished the flock wasn't bombarding the exit. "Yeah, no. I don't fuck with goose... gooses?" The true term slips his mind as he shuffles to the counter on the further end of the room. "I already dealt with my fair share of animals today, sorry bro." He says, offering help in the form of grabbing a nearby spray bottle of cleaning solution and dialing the knob until it was a direst stream spray of the liquid and not a mist. For his pounding headache, his aim was decent, though how much it helped in the situation was debatable. And the commotion from outside was starting to unsettle him. "The fucks happenin' out there!?"

As Matt pushed the rather angry animals off, he seemed noticed where the ruckus was coming from. From above him, all he could see was a rather large, transparent blue human with a rather meaning looking glow radiating off him in blue waves. From his hands, small puppeteer strings were leading down to the animals at hand.

"Is that why this days been insane?! Seriously?!"

Today had already been, frankly, a shit day. And at this point, Matt was just exhausted. So, in a quick flash of movement, he managed to grab a vacuum.

It turns out that the ghost busters movie was actually very accurate. In a matter of seconds, the ghost was sucked right up into the vacuum. The birds seemed to relax then, scattering back out into the park.

"Remind me to never forget my vacuum."

For someone so deadpan it almost looked like their cheek was twitching. "Jetts right. Real interestin' shade of paint . Huh Matthew." Inali's usual flatness reads more openly like he's.. perturbed?. "Real bad day,"

Raising a brow and reaching to adjust the ice in Jetts hand the smearing flecks of paint of those same hues on Matt are spattered across Inali along with a pretty hefty set of little shoe shaped bruises to their arm and jaw. "Cause. There was little girl just. Utterly covered in paint, just. All over the carousel today. Got it on a lot of the seats. The other kids too. Had Real fun having to ask them to leave." Which is to say said kid kicked him. "Far as I was aware we don't have keys to the paint closet. You do."

Avery, sitting back in her chair with her shoes up the table (it's a habit she picked up from Jett. not the best one, but it's harmless), significantly less affected compared to the others, but still visibly annoyed. "Real monsters, huh? The bulldog and the girl in paint..." she says as she eyes Jett, still glaring at Matt while seemingly holding back a wince of pain.

Suddenly, Avery reaches for her baton resting against the table, and starts waving it up in the air as she laughs. "Haha! Well, fortunately for me, I got off completely unharmed! The magic of the Castle walls protected me from those evil spirits, as they always have! Isn't it great~?"

...An awkward silence in the breakroom. Avery can feel everyone's gazes, some even angry, piercing through her soul. She immediately takes back her words, clearing her throat, and clarifies, now more deadpan, "The gates."

"I locked the Castle gates temporarily when Inali said the kid reached the Carousel, since, well, it isn't too far off."

"I diiiiidddd see some people standing outside the Castle, wondering why it was closed. Some were unhappy, but hey, I'd rather spare myself the trouble of cleaning up a possible mess if the cause were able to get in in the first place. Plus, other visitors'd be bothered too!"

"But I think we've all thought of a certain conclusion here, haven't we?" Avery eyes each of the employees, like she's seeking some silent approval. Then, baton still in hand, she points it to Matt. "None of this would've gotten so far if not for your irresponsibility and incon—.. in— uh..." she awkwardly tries to remember the word. "...inconsideration, Matt."

Matt lets out an awkward laugh, looking at Avery like she's insane. "Me?? How on earth is it my fault?"

"Matt, my guy. You're supposed to be Mouseland's manager. But considering alllll this shenanigans happened to you inside the park and you didn't even think to do anything about it—not even about the little girl—and you just let them get off loose and reach your park's rides? Several of them, might I add? Surely you get what I mean by now. I mean..."

Avery lowers her baton, the sound of it clacking against the floor echoing across the room. She takes out her phone, no longer paying any mind to anyone else in the room, as she mutters under her breath, "Your boss wouldn't be too happy about this, now, would he~?"

Lukas huffs, "Averys right Matt. You're the manager, all of this? Its your fault." Avery very quickly smirks at Lukas.

"I think its a good idea letting your boss know... I mean, this is a lot for someone of your lower status."

He gives matt a sour smile, and matt returns it by frowning, "you wouldnt dare do anything.."

Everyone smirks, tilting their heads down to hide them, stiffling laughs in their hands or covering them with a cough. The room is silent.

"Oh, don't go scaring him like that, Lukas. The poor guy!" Avery says, but her slick smirk seems to contradict her words of sympathy. "It's not like we mere employees have the power to get you fired over one incident, so you have nothing to worry about. Most we could do is probably, hm... perhaps, get you reprimanded~?" Avery hears a frustrated noise coming from someone, and even with her eyes on her phone, hands typing away to their boss, she can just tell it was from Matt.

Her fingers hover over the letters of her keyboard, pressing each one to form her message much slower now. "...You're a nice guy, Matt." Some quiet protests from others around the table can be heard. Regardless, Avery continues. "But Mouseland's already gotten enough weird looks after... that incident at the Carousel and Manor. The least we could do to keep this place alive is protect what we can. And today, well... I'm just saying, you kinda failed that task, man!"

"...I just don't want anymore trouble, 'kay?" She shoots an odd smile to Matt, who doesn't reply with words, but a sad, yet somehow understanding, look.

When Avery's message to their boss finally gets delivered, she gets up from her seat and prepares to leave. "Welp, that's that! Better get back to w—"

Avery gets interrupted again when the employees hear sounds of chaos and commotion. Lukas and Eli react and move immediately, while the other three are frozen. Avery, experiencing an unsettling déjà vu, clasps her hands together and starts praying to... whatever god's up there. Even then, she means every, single, word. "Good lord, not again..."

“Great, now there’s two reasons for me to be fired.” I got up, shoving my way to the door, only for a swarm of geese to bombard me. They seemed a bit angry, as rather than just honking they were pecking and biting at me. They managed to get me down, but I was able to at least protect my face.

“Why are the geese so angry?!” I tried to kick them off, but they kept going, as if they were fueled by some innate anger. One managed to grab my shoe off, and began pecking my foot. “A little help here?!”

Matt drags himself into the break room, looking exhausted. His hair is a mess, there’s a bunch of paint all over his face, and he currently has a bite mark on his arm. Overall, he looks like a mess.

“You guys will not believe the day I had. First I got attacked by seagulls while eating fries, then some girl spilled paint all over me, and some dog bit me! What is going on?!”

He barely noticed the figurative lightbulbs clicking over all his employees heads.

It was a warm fall morning, and all he employees were gathered in the break room talking. Or rather, a better way to say it was arguing.

They all were fighting, debating what ride was harder to operate. It was a giant calamity of words and screams, almost developing to violence.

Matt seemed to have had enough, bursting into the eye of the hurricane and shoving the others aside.

“Quit it! If you think it’s so easy to do each others jobs, then trade.”

It was a warm, sunny day at the park. The air was nice and cool, and the sun was shining at just the right angle. All throughout, people walked around looking for rides or restaurants. Many were with family, others with friends or even alone.

One woman, was all alone. She was about 5 feet tall, with brunette hair tied back in a bun. Her shirt had a small giraffe on it it, and she was wearing shorts with paint marks. She looked a bit confused, as if she was lost.

Matt seemed to take notice, approaching the women with a friendly smile. “Hello! May I help you?” His grin was electrifying, shining a bit of joy in their immediate surroundings like a beam of light.

“Yes, I was wondering if you could help me figure my way out around here? I’m new.” Her voice quivered a bit, as if she was scared he’d bite. Instead, he nodded before picking up a radio.

“Guys, could you please show this lovely women a tour of the park?”

Conclusion of Pilot :

"Well, I hope my employees treated you right!" Matt smiled as the women from earlier sat down at a bench nearby. She seemed a bit worn, but nonetheless happy.

"I had an amazing time! This park is pretty good, even if it is just a ripoff." Matt laughed a bit at the comment, pulling out a complementary pin to hand her. But before he was able to look back at the women, she was gone.

All that was left in her spot was a small teddy bear.

"Huh. Weird. Some people ought to say goodbye before they leave."

Maybe if he took the time to stay, he would've been able to hear the muffled screams coming from inside the bear.
