“48 Crash” starring @jacsfishburne (at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania)
I have this problem. My ideas start to feel stale to me after a while. I still love them but I feel like everyone else would be bored because they have seen them so many times but in reality it's just me who worked on them for months. Any advice?
It’s a hard one. Mostly you have to trust yourself. It’s like actors who laugh at the first read-through of a comedy, because it’s funny, who stop finding it funny during the rehearsal process, and start adding in business or changing stuff. They have to be reminded that they laughed in the beginning.
So remind yourself that you liked them in the beginning. Then keep going.

African Belle 3 by JJwinters Seriously, this guy’s gallery is fantastic.
I’m refocusing my blog here. I let the original purpose of it fall by the wayside and have lost my focus on art. My art AND the art of others (as well as the written word). Maybe in finding my focus again, I’ll find my inspiration again.
I'm almost done reading American Gods and was wondering how you think it should be updated for the upcoming show with Bryan Fuller? There seems to be a lot in the metaphors that don't apply as much to the modern world as they did in '01, and do you think that people will take well to depictions of their occasionally obscure, but nonetheless sacred, gods being displayed in a sometimes irreverent manner? I really really like the book and I hope these questions aren't embargoed until the show airs!
Some things we’ve updated – the Technical Boy is the technical boy of now, rather than of 2001. Most things we’ve left the same, normally on the grounds that they seem weirdly truer now than when I wrote them.
I think any god worthy of the name can stand up for Her, It, Him or Themselves, and I’m happy to talk to any of them directly if they have problems with the book. (I’m glad to say that in the last 15 years I’ve honestly not received any complaints from any of the gods in the book about the ways that they are depicted, from which we can conclude either that they don’t mind it, or that they can’t be bothered with reading fiction, what with being gods.)
Okay so...
I love the ‘Give Captain America A Boyfriend” campaign. I’m all for it. However, I do have a couple ‘tiny’ problems with it. I have a problem with the world deciding a man is gay or is romantically in love with another man when they are shown to care about them, show any kind of physical affection, show any kind of concern for them, I could go on. I have a problem with the fact the media has conditioned us to believe that men can not love and respect each other as friends, that mutual love and respect ONLY comes from romantic feelings, and men can not do that unless they are romantically involved. I have a problem with the fetishization of these male/male romantic relationships, all the while going on about ‘representation’. When representation is nothing more than wish fulfillment and stereotyping, it’s not representation. When it’s done with love and care, it is a beautiful thing. Some video games have come far in the realm of representation of non-heterosexual characters. They’ve made them real, believable, living, breathing human beings that aren’t just there for wish fulfillment or to be somebody’s fetish. Movie world, take note. If you do give Captain America a boyfriend (and why SHOULDN’T you?), please do it with love and respect. Please do it not simply because people are demanding it to fulfill some fantasy they have of Steve and Bucky (or whoever) fucking, but because it’s a natural progression of an already caring relationship. Or the beginning of a new and beautiful relationship. Do it because representation IS important but not at the expense of the dignity of the millions of non-hetero people in this world and not to fulfill someone’s sexual fantasy.
I understand that those of the Dragon Age fandom are concerned for Greg Ellis, but please. Refrain from making any references to Cullen. Greg Ellis/Jonny Rees is a real man with a real mental disorder who is in a ton of trouble if he’s not found soon. He’s a man with two sons that need their dad to come home. He’s a man that needs mental help.
So please, I understand that you ARE worried for him. But he is not Cullen and this is not a game.
This.
Greg Ellis is missing?
Edit: They found him,he’s at home. Thank goodness. http://kotaku.com/greg-ellis-jonny-rees-voice-actor-for-dragon-age-s-c-1776665137
“Last seen shirtless and manic”. Man, this makes me so sad. So very sad. I hope they find him.
CONFESSION:
I’ve been working on my DA trophies, and noticed something with the Tresspasser one where you remove all the supply caches and stop Alexius. I used the golden nug and completed ALL the side quests, and progressed the regeneration potion as far as possible. I set the companions health so they’d only drink at 10% health and reserve 5 out of 12. You know who drank 6 out of those 7 potions even though they were fully outfitted and skilled enough? Blackwall. He’s so squishy and it makes no sense I went out of my way and got fancy metal for his armor. I premade Dorian’s equipment and his health never went down !
Holy crap, how are you speccing him? If you go into his specialty tree, he becomes nigh invincible. My one and only run as a sword and shield warrior, I took his specialty and was unstoppable.
French Bulldog puppies
Squishyface dogs are the best!
CONFESSION:
I wish there were body sliders -or at least different body types/presets for class as well as race. I tried to play a male human rogue but his body was so huge I couldn’t imagine him sneaking anywhere or pulling a bowstring without snapping it in half.
This becomes amusing when you realize that Conan the Barbarian was actually a thief and skulked around. :)
Confession: After playing all the Dragon Age games I’m spoiled by the romances. I’m playing a newly released game that has ‘romance’ and it just doesn’t compare. While the companions are fully fleshed and have interesting backstories, the romance itself leaves me feeling sad and missing the way Dragon Age set up all their romance options. The games actually allow me to roleplay my way through a romance, not give me a couple flirt options and then tell me I’m dating someone.
Except that’s exactly what Dragon Age romance is like. Its just that everyone has really extensive headcanons and they start pretending its the truth. Well, I guess in a way it is the truth but you don’t actually do more than hit flirt a few times, sex scene, and one or two scenes towards the end of the game.
You obviously haven’t played Fallout 4. Seriously, the difference is like night and day.
You made me think if Isabela's quote in DA2 about the dragonlings: "Oh, look at them! They're like kittens... who want to eat you."
Theyre really cute. If the Iron Bull saw one, he would absolutely smuggle it back to Skyhold in a really big crate, and hide it in his room with some bones to chew.
I can actually picture that. I wonder what he'd name it.
Carnival Queen by JJwinters For serious, you guys, check out the rest of his gallery too. Some fantastic stuff there. His cartoony style is awesome
