i meant to draw something w/ chosen and dark being completely stuck to each other 24/7 like @questionthequestionablemyfriends did today, but this was all i managed to get onto the canvas. so i just slapped a trusty ol' burning logo on it and called it good.

i really really enjoy the way that they'd likely be completely inseperably codependent for two different reasons. dark because he's never known life WITHOUT chosen in it, and chosen because he's painfully aware of what life is like without dark and never ever EVER wants to go back to being so soulcrushingly lonely.

minor additional headcanons i have about chosen:

- he's like. EXTREMELY claustrophobic after 3 years of being stored in a tiny ass chest whenever he wasn't being used

- he's unfathomably touch starved

- huge limit for him is heavy bondage and/or any kind of metal bondage like handcuffs or chains or something. on himself, at least. hates feeling physically restricted.

do you remember that fic masterpost you reblogged a while back? The one with "A Heroic Archetype"? theres a scene from one of their other fics (A Mission Statement) that ive always wanted to see drawn "baring the fangs they had that were sharp enough to strike unholy terror into any prey, but only ever reminded Chosen of that time Dark got their mouth stuck on an apple and had to burn it off" the mental image of an annoyed dark with an apple stuck on their teeth is hilarious to me

here is some fanart of a scene from @styck-figure's AMAZING FIC 'Mission Statement'. please go check it out, its so good at exploring Chosen's and Dark's relationship and i could not recommend it enough. their fics really are so great and if you do end up reading them, i also highly recommend 'A Heroic Archetype', which is my personal favourite of their series.

the italicised text is an extract from the fic that I thought would be really nice to draw. i interpreted this scene as Dark looking very angry but you could tell that there was no real emotion behind it because this 'anger' was all because of their code and not their true self. (also i really like drawing intense expressions so i thought this would be more interesting)

anyways, i had alot of fun drawing this and please try reading the original fanfic. :D
