Knowing how you identify can play a very important part in your life and your safety when it comes to sexual health. For example, something as simple as knowing you identify as a gay black male should then prompt yourself to be more conscious of HIV/AIDS contraction due to the fact there are higher statistics of the disease within your community. Know oneself and love oneself.♥️💙💚💛💜
Pre-exposure Prophylaxis a daily drug to help the prevention of HIV infection and Post Exposure Prophylaxis a drug that's like a second chance defense mechanism against the spread of HIV, two very important and vital drugs in today's society. Whether you're engaging in same sex relations or not, these two drugs can be a major factor in saving a life. These posters show some of the possible reasons for needing either of the drugs, and PrEP is something great to have as part of your daily regimen to be extra safe like wearing a seatbelt throughout life.💚💛♥️💜🌈💙❤️💋 Be Safe.
Planting Peace – the group that bought the house across the street from the Westboro Baptist Church and painted it rainbow colors – just bought the house next door. And they painted it with the colors of the trans pride flag.
HRC Marks 47 Years Since the Historic Uprising at the Stonewall Inn

Another important factor into condom preparation is to be sure to rip open the condom with only your hands teeth or scissors can puncture the condom thus rendering it useless. *Fun fact: did you know female condoms (as shown above) can also be used for anal sex for heterosexual or homosexual activities. If being used for anal sex it is important to remove the ring on the inside of the condom used for placement in a vagina once that is removed use the condom and enjoy your time!*
Did you know the first two steps while preparing to use a condom? First you should always check the expiration date and secondly always check for an air bubble. If the condom is expired or doesn't have an air bubble it is more likely to break and then would no longer be effective. Make sure to use these steps as the first two preparation steps before usage of a condom.
Today marks the International Transgender Day of Visibility, an annual event of positive celebration and raising awareness about the discrimination faced by transgender people worldwide.
The holiday was founded in 2009 by Rachel Crandell, the head of Transgender Michigan, who was frustrated that the only well-known transgender-centric event each year was the Transgender Day of Remembrance.
“The day of remembrance is exactly what it is. It remembers people who died,” she said. “This focuses on the living.”
While the day was initially Michigan-centric, Crandell’s Facebook event page quickly captured the attention of the transgender community and spread around the world. In 2013, the Trans Student Educational Resources took over most of the promotion, outreach and social media aspects for the event.
The theme of this year’s celebration is ‘More than Visibility’ (#MoreThanVisibility). It recognises that while visibility is important, transgender people and allies must take direct action against transphobia around the world.
