Hel couldn't help but smile at Arwyn's teasing, his playful nature always managing to lighten her mood. She leaned into his touch, savoring the warmth of his affection as she considered his question.
"It's not that Snaer and I don't get along," she replied with a small chuckle, "It's just... complicated." Her expression softened as she met his gaze, grateful for his understanding.
As Arwyn wrapped his arms around her, Hel's heart swelled with love for him, feeling a sense of contentment wash over her despite the looming plans ahead.
"Niko's plans are a surprise," she admitted, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "But I promise it'll be worth the wait."
At his request to know their destination before shadow-traveling, Hel couldn't help but laugh softly at his persistence. She placed a gentle kiss on his cheek before pulling away slightly to look into his eyes.
"Very well," she relented, a playful smirk dancing on her lips. "Our destination is... one of my favorite places here in Midgard. I wanted to share it with you if you would like?."
With a wink, Hel extended her hand to Arwyn, her excitement for their Valentine's Day adventure growing with each passing moment.
"Shall we?" she asked, a hint of anticipation lacing her voice as she prepared to embark on their journey together.
arwyn huffed a soft puff of laughter at hel's words, gently smoothing his hand alone her waist comfortingly as she admitted with a small chuckle that things were complicated between her and snaer.
"sounds like you two are dating more than i'm dating you." he grinned cheekily at her. "should i be jealous?"
he leaned in close, taking in the mischievous glint in her eyes as he poked her cheek teasingly.
"one of your favourite places in midgard?" he leaned forward slightly, almost greedily chasing the gentle kiss upon his cheek in an attempt to steal a peck from her lips. (needless to say, he failed) "when have i ever not wanted to see the things you love?" he rested his forehead against hers, scrunching his nose in light suspicion at the playful smirk dancing upon her lips.
"of course." it felt more than natural to simply fit his hand against hers, fingers laced together tenderly as he drew himself as close as he could to the goddess, her effervescent excitement so clear that it was starting to rub off on him--an anticipatory bubble growing in his stomach as he wrapped his arms tenderly around her waist, nudging a soft kiss against her jawline as he gently pulled her hair back. "you never need to ask, you should know that. wherever you go, i'll always follow. like a stinky bug that you can't get rid of, no matter what." he poked her side with a little grin, gripping her waist a little tighter.
Hel couldn't help but laugh at Arwyn's playful banter, his lighthearted teasing bringing a warmth to her heart that she cherished more than anything. As he leaned in for a kiss, she playfully dodged his attempt, a mischievous glint in her eyes as she leaned back just out of reach.
"Nice try," she teased, her laughter echoing in the crisp air around them. "But you'll have to earn that kiss, my love."
His words of unwavering support and willingness to follow her wherever she may lead filled her with a sense of gratitude that she struggled to put into words. It was moments like these, with Arwyn by her side, that reminded her of the depth of their connection and the strength of their bond.
"I wouldn't have it any other way," she replied softly, her gaze meeting his with a tenderness that spoke volumes of her love for him. "You're not a stinky bug, you're my shining star."
With a gentle squeeze of his hand, Hel leaned in to press a loving kiss against his lips, savoring the sweetness of the moment before pulling away with a smile.
"Come on," she said, excitement bubbling in her chest as she intertwined her fingers with his. With gentility that was not always present, she cradled his cheek. "Close your eyes, and hold on to me." Her voice was soft yet reassuring and with a sound like a drifting breeze, the air around them seemed to pulsate briefly before the world righted itself.
"Here we are," There was a reverence as well as a beat of hesitation before she coaxed him to open his eyes. There were miles away from the island, as the foliage showed. Judging from the view they were also miles away from the ground. A mountaintop with a shaded ledge, overlooking a quaint town, twinkling with soft lights, the moon shining brightly below.
