First Oneshot
You invite Katsuki over to your house, you've been friends for a while, but everyone keeps saying he treats you differently than any of your other friends. They all have their own theories and ship you guys together, and sure, you've definitely thought about him like that for a while, but the idea that Katsuki Bakugo has feelings for you is far too delusional to entertain.
Besides, you're happy enough to be such close friends with him.
You're happy just to know him.
But something in your stomach does a stupid flip every time you see him.
And every now and then he walks close enough to you that your heart beats a little faster.
And walking him into your house and into your room feels a little strange still.
As you turn to look at him waiting for you to outline further plans (you told him to come over but only half mentioned where you could go or what you wanted to do) something about how comfortable he seems in your space, sitting on the side of your bed, it just feels too good to be true. You don't want to go anywhere or do anything.
He's exactly where you want him.
"We could go to a movie or something, or just get food. It's a bit late though-" You start to say.
He cuts you off, "We could watch something here for free, you have a TV, why not use it?"
You shuffle a little, you have a TV in your living room, but the one he's clearly referring to is across from your bed.
The bed he's already sitting on.
No way he's implying you lay together and watch something in your bed...
Right?
Before you can get too lost in thought you're grabbing your remote and turning the TV on like you do every night.
Like he's not sitting in your bed, watching you with the intensity he brings to every interaction.
You sit on the other side of the bed, making sure there's a safe distance between the two of you, which isn't necessarily hard...
But when he swings his legs onto the bed, you can swear it seems like he scoots a little closer to you than you thought he would be.
You're imagining things, you're sure.
It must've been unintentional.
You randomly pick out a horror movie you've mentioned wanting to watch once or twice and start playing it.
For a little while there's slightly awkward, yet comfortable, quiet. You both watch the screen and every now and then you mention something about a character or actor.
But when something loud happens in the movie, you jump a little, reaching for something, but before you're sure what you've grabbed, you feel his hand tighten in yours.
Are we holding hands?
How long have we been holding hands?
Did you just do that?
Did he?
He must've felt you jump.
Grabbed your hand as more of a reflex, and tightened his grip in response to your tension.
Why doesn't he let go?
After a little while longer the feeling becomes more normal than you'd have expected, and the heat of his body so close to yours isn't making you panic internally anymore.
It all just feels nice.
That is until he grabs your other hand and gently pulls you into him, wrapping his arms around you. Letting your leg find space between his.
Then the heat feels a bit more intense.
Your face is so close to his.
You can hear his heart beating.
Faster than yours.
You let your head rest in the crook of his neck, your breathing slowing slightly as you let yourself believe for even a moment that he's just as nervous as you are.
When you hear your phone start to ring you tense up, and in response he asks quietly, "want me to get it?"
You move a little, and he loosens his grip on you, but it seems reluctant.
"It's ok, I got it," you reach for your phone, but his hands still linger on you, one of them brushing your waist, causing the hair on the back of your neck to stand up.
You should answer.
You should be responsible about this.
You turn off your phone and let him pull you right back into his arms again.
Who cares about anything else right now?
This is the best thing that's ever happened to you.
You'll be damned if you let it end this quickly.
