Albrikt gently put their daughter on the bed, just like his wife had said. Little Helene was cooing softly, but didn’t start crying. It was a start. “Forget it.” He watched the baby for a moment before he was able to force his gaze away and back to Britt. His two beautiful ladies. Now he and their son weren’t in the majority anymore.
“I promised Edvad to not tell you anything. Sorry, Britt.” An apologetic smile and shrug of his shoulders were all she got from him on that matter. “He wants to surprise you - but I can tell you it’s nothing bad, and the house is still standing, too.”
Their daughter was going to fall asleep soon. It was alright to let her lie there, they were both there. She wasn’t big enough to roll anywhere. Smiling as he said he couldn’t tell her anything she sighed dramatically “Alright then, I guess we just have to suffer the wait,” it would be strange for them all. Suddenly there was a baby in the house.
They would be back to sleepless nights and crying. “I’d hope the house is still standing, cause I haven’t been able to keep it like I like due to this one,” she smiled and moved the small strands of blonde hair from their daughter’s forehead.
