My issue with these releases is fans pretending to be outraged over wrestlers they didn’t give two shits about until they’re gone.

No merch purchase, no social media support, nothing.

Yet you whine every single year without fail.

Have you checked on the released wrestlers from last year that you also complained about when they left?

Of course it sucks that people are losing their jobs. But this performative nonsense on social media needs to stop. Don’t pretend you care now when it’s too late.

This year, I’m particularly sad about Kairi Sane. We were waiting for her to finally stand up for herself against Asuka and WWE/TKO not being patient enough with their own creative decision is scandalous.

Again, I wish all the released wrestlers all the best. But ⬆️ still stands.

Honestly, before the match, I legit had no clue who was going to get the win between Punk and Roman.

But once the opening notes of “Head of the Table” played, my jaw dropped. I said, yep, he’s winning.

I didn’t realize just how much aura that song had until I heard it again 😂

That match was a MASTERCLASS in storytelling by both men. The OTC endured 2 years of slop and is back on top! Nice.

To all my fellow WWE WrestleFic authors. It’s 100% valid to feel unmotivated to write, especially given the state of the current product. The horrendous angles, storylines and lack of creative certainly don’t help with finding any motivation.

But also, to those who feel discouraged due to the lack of comments, or kudos and engagement in general. Please don’t think that maybe your work isn’t good. That is most likely not the case at all. There’s definitely been a drop in interest around WrestleFics and again, the terrible product doesn’t help.

I for one rarely go on Wrestling AO3 these days, simply because since the product hasn’t caught my attention, I forget to do so.
