I don't know what to do.

I just want to be happy.

I want to be appreciated.

I want to be needed and wanted.

I want to stop pretending that red flags don't exist.

I want to know what it means to love oneself.

Does anyone every feel like they truly belong in this world ? Or are well all just fighting the same battle in our own ways ?

Does their pain feel like this, too?

Is their blood rich like mine ?

I'm old enough to know that drugs and alcohol won't take this away; the pain is still there waiting when you've finally sobered up. Hurting myself doesn't make a damn difference. It won't make them love me more. It won't make them care. 

Someone one said: we deserve nothing in this life.

I suppose the secret to surviving is understanding exactly that.  I don't deserve to feel sad or happy or proud or anxious or anything. So I need to stop acting like I deserve anything,  and I'll be OK. Losses are hard. Rejection is hard. Silence is hard. Failure is hard. But it's never going to go away. So i guess, what? Just keep swimming till I drown. =/
