Chapter 43. Full transparency post: I am not perfect (I know, I know, I gasped too) and I suck at a lot of things. I have flaws - some I’m actively working on & others y’all just gonna have to figure that shit out as we go. What I am most sure of & have learned over the years is this: every age you are, is the perfect age. You only get to live life once & you can’t go back & re-do any part of it. Celebrate yourself (OFTEN) & surround yourself with people who see your true inner beauty & love, cherish and support you despite your flaws. People who have no issue fixing your crown when it’s slightly off kilter & making sure you walk in your purpose. Surround yourself with ppl who believe in the power of giving oneself GRACE. Surround yourself with ppl who see your growth & potential and their goal is to help you reach that. Dammit, surround yourself with ppl who think you are the best damn thing since sliced bread & they wanna butter your toast. Be purposeful with every interaction & be intentional with your actions. Stand by your decisions, but be open to constructive criticism. Know your strengths and your weaknesses and be able to use the strengths to balance the weaknesses. I’m a CONSTANT work in progress (but I’ll air this bish out accordingly if needed- play with yah mammy, not with me).
