I am nearly wide open. Of course I am more familiar with some canons and characters than others, but I'm open to beta reading and offering non-judgmental feedback for *almost* anything, even if it's not one of "my" kinks, tropes, or ships. Please see my DNW list below for a short list of themes where I'd request that the Author contact me to talk it over before bidding on me to beta read.
Some things I enjoy writing are:
** M/M friendship, pre-slash, or slash, explicit or not
** Banter. puns, and wordplay
** Crack, and crack treated seriously
** Character introspection/character study (angst potential!)
** Exploration, expansion, or reframing of a canon scene
** Touch-starved/cuddling/bed sharing
** First times/getting-together
** Happy/fluffy, or moderate angst with happy ending
Some things I have not written, but definitely want to write or would love the right idea to spark me to write it:
** Tech porn (AI/robotf**kery/armor porn)
** Pit of despair/angst without a glimmer of hope, IF inspired by the right magnificently tragic idea. This could include all the non-con, torture, HydraCap, and major character death areas, things I can in no way simply blanket-offer to write. But hit me with the right horrifying concept that makes my brain explode, and I will madly and gleefully embrace all of the dark.
I also have a handful of fic ideas plotted out but unwritten, waiting to be high enough on the time/energy priority list. Feel free to message me (Discord preferred; email as alternate) if you would like to hear summaries. I am very much open to being bid on to move one of these to the top of the stack!
In general, I love brainstorming and talking about fic ideas, so if you're thinking of bidding on me, I'd love to hear from you about what you have in mind!

** Avengers: Endgame fics (not a DNW for MCU as a 'verse; I just do not wish to be commissioned for fic based upon this particular movie.)
Because I am a walking contradiction of a person, there are some things I mentioned in the "want to write" section above that I feel like I also have to include here. These include all of those descent-into-darkness, no-hope-no-light territories such as non-con, torture, disfigurement, major character death, grimdark dystopia, and so forth. I'm probably not going to write these. But at the same time, if, and only if, a premise manages to impale me dead center in the inspirational bullseye, then I will write it in red as I bleed out pinned to the wall. If you ask and it doesn't quite hit me in that spot, I will say no very nicely. :)
For BETA READING, the above DNWs aren't quite the same, as follows:
** Het pairings, femmeslash, and kidfic are not DNWs and I am very willing to beta read them.
** Mpreg, daddy kink, and character always-the-other-gender: Case-by-case basis, but a good likelihood I'm fine with beta-reading them. But if your fic involves these, please kindly message me before bidding.
** Non-con, permanent MCD, and other unremitting-angst darkfics: Please ask me about it before bidding; I do beta-read some of these, but it's very dependent upon the premise of the particular fic and sometimes my immediate emotional landscape.
** Endgame fics: You can message me and tell me about what you're writing, but most probably, I will respectfully decline, as I'm engaging with very little Endgame-related fic. Thank you!

This auction is for beta reading for one fic up to 10k words, or two fics that total no more than 10k words.
For beta reading, I am WIDE OPEN when it comes to universes, fandoms, characters, and ships. I am very happy to beta read for fics focusing on 'verses and characters not listed in my Relationships section. This includes threesomes/moresomes/poly, m/m, m/f, and f/f relationships. With that said, of course I am more familiar with particular characters and pairings that I read the most, and will be able to give more detailed feedback in the specific areas of characterization and canon for fics involving those characters/ships.
I'm open to beta reading for canon-related, canon divergent, or AU fics, from fluff to angst, plotty to PWN, gen to explicit ratings, and for all but a few tropes and kinks (as specified in my beta reading DNW list). And as noted, even most of those are conditional rather than "hard no's." I encourage and welcome prospective bidders to contact me with any questions where I've requested "please check with me first," or in regard to my comfort level or familiarity with anything relating to a fic you might like me to beta read.
My goal in beta reading is to offer feedback in a manner and of a nature that the author will find most useful to help realize their vision for their fic.

As a beta reader, I'm able to offer significant help with the following areas:
** Spelling, punctuation, grammar, and other general proofreading
** Sentence structure and flow, vocabulary, and word choice
** Idioms and American vs British English usage
** Flow and usage where English is not an author's first/native language
** Plotting, continuity, pacing, character development, emotional impact, and thematic development
** Brainstorming/help with plotting ideas in alpha and beta reading stages
Technical/informational "consulting" for fics that might touch upon the following areas where I have professional and personal expertise:
** Music industry knowledge, instruments, bands, songwriting, music gigs/performances -- particularly in regard to popular music styles (rock, alternative, metal, funk, jazz, reggae/ska, R&B, some hiphop and electronica, etc), and to a lighter extent for classical/orchestral music
** Audio engineering, music production, music and speech recording, recording studio equipment, and to a lesser extent, live sound mixing for smaller and larger venues
** Photography, lighting and camera equipment, photo shoots (in-studio and on location) ** Parrots and other birds commonly kept as pets - species, appearance, care, health, behavior, etc
CHARACTERS/CANON: When it comes to characters and 'verses I know best, my favorite characters, both individually and as a ship, are Tony Stark and Steve Rogers from 616, MCU, and early Ults.
My 616 canon knowledge definitely has gaps, but I have a reasonable grounding in lots of areas of Iron Man comics, some Captain America runs, some Avengers, and a number of the Marvel comics "events" (Civil War, Secret Invasion, etc). I'm caught up to current issues for the presently ongoing Tony Stark: Iron Man and Captain America runs, and a few other current-run comics. I also just jumped into X-Men comics with the recently completed Hickman House of X/Powers of X series (LOVED it), albeit with little to no knowledge of previous X-Men canon.
LEVELS OF BETA READING: I'm happy to beta read on any level from a once-over for final proofing, all the way up to a deeply involved consideration of theme, emotional impact, and character development. I also love brainstorming and discussing plotting! It helps me greatly to know what the author likes and wants from a beta reader -- anything that has resulted in a good experience or a bad experience with having their fics beta read in the past.
For authors I haven't beta read for before, I usually leave feedback for a page or two first, then wait for the author to receive my suggestions before moving forward. Then the author can let me know if what I'm offering is helpful, or if there's anything they'd like me to approach differently.
SCHEDULING AND TIME FRAMES: One thing I don't do well is working on short deadlines or "need it NOW" time frames. As a general idea, I would prefer to have ten days to two weeks to complete a thorough beta reading of a ~10k fic. I might be able to get it back to you much faster than that, but I can't guarantee that, and I'd rather ask for more time and need less, than the opposite case.
With that in mind -- if you would be considering asking me to beta read any fic with a submission deadline, please let me know. We should have a plan to make sure there will be enough time for beta reading and revision to take place in between completion of your draft and your deadline date.

This auction is for writing one fic of 1k-5k words.
Please think of prompts in terms of "a short fic" that could end up falling anywhere within this range. I'm not fantastic at estimating word counts when I start writing for an idea, so I feel better leaving some latitude in the promised fic length. That way, whatever prompt my winning bidder and I decide upon, I can relax and focus on writing to tell the story, rather than worrying about word count targets.
Aside from Steve/Tony gen or ship fic, I'm open to writing fic centered around either one of them individually: character study/introspection, expansion of a canon scene, missing scene, etc.
There are a few things outside of 616 and MCU Steve-Tony that I might be persuaded to write -- possible secondary 'verses, and possibly a couple of other ships. But this would be highly conditional. If there's something you'd like me to consider, please feel free to ask me about it, especially if we're in Discord servers together and you know something about some of my other areas of interest! My priority is to ensure that I can meet the auction commitment and write you a fic you'll really like. So to venture afield from my "center," I would need to feel confident that we're talking about a story I can get inside of and compellingly tell.

I also have a list of about 5-7 fic ideas that I've plotted out with significant notes, but haven't had time to actually write. If you're interested in hearing about those, just let me know.
