Those who stand for nothing fall for everything.

It's me, your teacher....WATCHING YOU.
I just wanted to say that this guy is amazing. So much factual information plus a few funnies here and there! For some awesome tips, practice, and some fun, I would totally check them out!
For Multiple Choice Monday, from Khan Academy’s “Historian’s Toolkit,” this video talks breaks down how to attack stimulus based multiple choice questions and talks a good bit about POV/Bias as well. If you’re struggling at all with SBMC, this is well worth a watch!
APUSH me off a bridge
So, You’ve realized that you hate APUSH and you hate everything and you hate everything and you want to stab out your eyes with that pencil that you’ve been taking notes with? Great! Me too! But I will teach you all the little things that I have found to keep me from wanting to actually die. Staying positive and asking questions, even if they sound stupid to you, are really important. You can do this. We can do this. We will make it.
Because APUSH kinda sucks just a little bit, I have some very easy steps to follow to stay on track!
1) TAKE ALL OF THE NOTES AND ORGANIZE THEM
I don’t care how you get them, weather it be via crazy fast fingers or taking a voice memo of the entire class, like I do every day, these notes will save your ass.
2) KEEP UP WITH YOUR TERMS LIST!!
I made this mistake already. I left my terms to the ed so i could just crank it out in one night and be good for the test nut NOOOOO! Read when you’re supposed to and do your terms along the way. It’ll be good to refer to during class discussion and give you those sweet participation points.
3) CHAPTER SUMMERY’S ARE YOUR FRIEND!!
If you’re reading a book like Founding Brothers or Ragtime Like we are, do not be afraid to look at a chapter after you actually read the chapters. I know that I have a lot of trouble with reading the chapters sometimes in Founding Brothers so looking at gradesaver.com ‘s chapter summary's have really helped clarify a few things.
4) DON’T BE A SMART-ASS
AP teachers won’t take your bullshit, so you have to suck it up and deal with all of their little quirks, weather it be that they hate the Cowboys of the word “especially’ in a weird way. Don’t try to be a jackass. You’ll look dumb and you will be the reason we stay three minutes into lunch... and yes that did happen... and yes I am still salty.
5) DON’T BEAT YOURSELF UP OVER ONE BAD GRADE
It’s an AP class. It’s going to be hard. You are going to get a few bad grades and it’s okay. It shows that you might need to improve your work ethic or that you might not have known that material as well as you should or could have. Now, it might be something to worry about if it becomes a continuous thing, but other than that, don’t cry yourself to sleep over one 57% on a reading quiz.
Just remember that there are people going through the same things you are and that you’re not alone. You’re going to do great. You are a champion and you can get through this.
Those who forget the past are condemned to repeat it.
