Janice Arnold's Palace Yurt. I was not lucky enough to see this when it was up at the Cooper-Hewitt but did get to see the deconstructed version at Evergreen State College last fall. Amazing work by an amazing woman!

Magdalena Abakanowicz working on "Abakans". Beautiful!
Really amazing work by embroidery artist Roanna Wells!
Photos from the Smoke Farm Lo-Fi Fest from last weekend. I installed a large loom between two trees with collaborating artists Lyndsey Baldwin, Allison Manch, and Rachel Ravitch. Andrew Waits was very kind to photograph it for us. Thank you Andrew and thanks ladies for making this happen! And a thank you to Jesse Lortz for moral support!

Andrew Waits is extremely talented. I love this newly posted series!
I came across this on booooooom.com and love not only the artist John Franzen's process but also how the finished drawings call to mind diaphanous fabrics.
Raija Jokinen is amazing! She uses paper making techniques to create textile like art. Incredible!
