conspiracy theory about how Dabi knew Keigo and his government name!!
There was something about Dabi being sent away as a child despite his flames being powerful (endeavour said it himself that his flames were just as powerful but it kept damaging his body) this is important to remember (which also may be why he looks more like his mother except his eyes eg. White hair and body suited for ice related quirk)
The conspiracy was that Dabi/touya (I will use both) was sent to the same hero commission as keigo as a child and they ended up meeting. Whether keigo knew that he was endeavours son or where he came from idk, however it would make sense as in the hero commission you essentially throw away your government name. Keigo/Hawks is known to everyone else as “hawks” and Dabi WAS known as “Dabi” to everyone and in a certain sense it could’ve been his supposed “hero name”. (Dabi means cremation which is his quirk which is similar to how hawks’ quirk is fierce wings and the colour resembles a red tailed hawk- you follow me drift?)
During Hawks vs Dabi, Dabi aimed for twice despite being his teammate and hawks saved him and mocked Dabi saying something along the lines of “you aimed for you’re own teammate?” And Dabi replied “I know it’s a hero’s duty to save everyone regardless of who they are” and to me that sounds pretty revised as if it were a motto that the hero commission would use when training heroes (but that’s all speculation.) Regardless Touya knows a lot more than a few and surprisingly no one recognised him, it’s possible that a lot more things happened and could be completely different.
If the theory is true, I wonder how he “faked his death”?🤭
I quite like that conspiracy and it’s really sad that despite pretending to be in the LOV , assuming this theory is correct, keigo never recognised touya 🥺 I don’t really w ant touya to hate his family it rather just hate endeavour bc it’s obvious he cares dearly about them, (crying everyday that natsuo doesn’t get the same treatment and leaving blue flowers in the hospital for his mother even while being a villain in the LOV.)
This gives me Dabi/Toya vibes rn.

I shouldn’t be surprised by the latest BNHA chapter cos I knew Dabi was Touya since like forever. But darn, the way he broadcasted it O_O
You know what? I’m super happy that, despite us all clearly supporting the Dabi/Touya theory for years, Horikoshi didn’t try and ‘subvert our expectations’ to make the reveal more of a twist or anything. Rather than revealing it at the end of the series or after Dabi had died or anything (or even tried to change Dabi’s origin so none of us would be right), Hori decided to go ahead with his original plan and it was amazing. Like, this is proper storytelling without pissing off your audience. Hori knew exactly that we knew about Dabi for years, but my man decided to keep going with it and work to make the reveal as satisfying and emotional as possible. Hell, it became trending during the American Election, it was such a moment.
