“I was in my office a minute ago,” Moira answered, hands on her hips. “I’m not sure where I am now.” 

She takes a look around the room, it looks like her office, but it doesn’t feel like it. There are elements of her chaotic life around, but there are also… strange contraptions she can’t name. And she’d thought she had seen everything! 

“I work for the CIA,” She replied to her earlier, not quite said question. “I’m an agent. What… exactly are you? Who are you?” She was starting to slightly panic, she hadn’t been trained for this. So much of her life trained to keep a cool demeanor against most odds. 

Keyword being most. “How are you Moira MacTaggert?” 

“I am Doctor Moira MacTaggert. Research scientist and an advocate for the mutant cause. I live on Muir Island and I was born in Scotland. I am pretty sure I know who I am.” The scientist was clear with her credentials. With that out of the way, Moira walked around the room. 

Something was off. The science of wormholes was a topic Moira wasn’t too keen to study or delve in, and right then she felt at a loss. How did they work again? 

“You’re an agent, you say?” Perplexing, indeed. “Why you, though? If it can send me to a doppelganger in another timeline, why did it choose you? Oh my...I wonder if Rachel could answer that. I don’t know if she can..” The scientist was rambling again, trying to find a solution. “I hope you are as smart as you are intuitive. We’re going to need all the brain power we can get.”
