I can't wait for the figure skating season to begin. I'll be at Nebelhorn Trophy, Grand Prix de France and Challenge Cup this season and am already really excited!!

With the news of Max retiring, I think it's time for a post like this...
When I heard they would be at Nebelhorn Trophy in 2024, the first competition I would be going to, I was so excited I’d get to see the current world champions. I watched them win Worlds in Montreal in my living room in the middle of the night and I remember being so impressed by them. But seeing them skate in person was a whole other experience – I was hooked immediately.
They're beyond inspiring. They’ve shown to the world that anything is possible, and they created a bit of magic on the ice every time they skated. They two have so much to be proud of. Deanna was retired and then decided to give this another go in a new discipline; and Max was close to retiring too before trying out with Deanna…and look where it has led them. They've become world champions and Olympians, and this is something nobody can take away from them.
I feel so privileged to have seen them compete two more times since that September day in 2024, and to even meet them in Angers. I loved following their journey from Montreal to the Olympics in Milan – all that late night adrenaline, and I would do it all again.
Best of luck to Max for his coaching career - I hope his skaters will be as successful as he has been.
I hope Deanna will get to continue her journey, and I'm looking forward to cheering for her again.
Thank you for everything, Deanna and Max.
Forever my GOATs
