Erio bounced around in my head long before I ever drew them out, but here they finally are! I went through about 6 different design and color combinations before finding a balance I liked. As their name implies, I based them off the mineral, eriochalcite! It appears to come in a few different forms, from a little bubble-shaped cluster (which I based their "face" on), to puffy crystal clusters (as seen on their head), to basic rock-cover.

They have an excitable, curious personality that meshes well with their profession. As a sociologist, they love learning about Earth culture and comparing it to Eridian culture. It's amazing how many aspects are similar, and how many are different!

They're learning English, and that includes speaking! There are a wealth of resources on the internet they can use to practice, but it's harder than they imagined! They keep adding an Eridian flair to the simple sounds... but they'll get it one day :) I like to think that, after hearing about the other two Hail Mary crew members, they decide to learn Russian and Mandarin next to honor them.

I've drawn Monty as transfem before, and of course was excited to be able to do it again. Joyce is just a background character I've taken a liking to, and I thought it would be fun to include her!

[Video Description: The video opens with the scene of Stratt and Grace on the ship deck, where he asks her if she's religious. Then it transitions into an instrumental music ("God Willing") only montage of Grace, with a filter that makes the clips look warm and hazy.
