there's an interesting dichotomy with ENA's different selves, specifically in how her happy side seems to both accept her world's realities, and question them, outright asking moony what's wrong with her when she says something strange or staring in confusion at the man in the zipper dog. this is contrasted by her sad side, which doesn't do either, but instead adds to the absurdism of the world by speaking strangely and with a childlike tone.

these sides when exaggerated just further add to this! specifically it's interesting that her extreme happiness (drunk) is... well it's called her drunk form, firstly. not a good start. but secondly in this form she asks for things to make sense and asks what moony's even talking about. meanwhile her extreme sadness is just... crying screaming throwing up. this isn't to mention the absolute DESPAIR she's in when in her gray form, looking more abstracted with her face on her hands

with the theory of the world representing the internet, this could either be a commentary on how everyone online is fucking miserable (hence why everyone is speaking in tongues), or it's more representative of how ENA when sad fits in to the world's strangeness more than if she's happy, like the world makes her unhappy

both are incredibly interesting, and i love playing in the vagueness of it all, so i don't think i'll give a solid answer for my own interpretation of it

barely able to stay focused on. anything. let alone a blog rn. but truly if i could justify either thinking of different names for the two ENAs or at least the DREAM BBQ one, i'd muse her too in a fucking heartbeat. i LOVE them both so dearly theyre so interesting to me
