What gets me (apart from the entirety of it) about that scene, is the way Clarke looks at Bellamy when she wakes up. It’s almost as if she’s seeing him, truly, for the first time. She’s aware now of how far he’ll go to protect her, how devoted he is to her.
It reminds me of s1, when Bellamy was talking to Wells about how he’d be invisible to her as long as Finn was around. And then later, once Wells proved himself, said “now she sees you.”
Now she sees Bellamy.
“Nevermind, I see you.”

There is something divine about seeing my mother’s faded words incarnated in the girl beside me. Even while sleeping, she looks like a deadly goddess, an iron queen. Mara is anything but peaceful – even in repose she is a silky gray cloud, bright with the promise of lightning. I will not find peace with her. But there will be no greater passion.
