Yesterday, Gaza was plunged into a night of blood and horror. There was no safe place airstrikes came suddenly, and homes collapsed on top of their residents. The screams of women and children filled the darkness, and the bodies of the dead lay beneath the rubble, some unnamed, others torn apart and scattered in the streets. More than 320 people lost their lives in just a few hours, entire families erased from existence. Hospitals overflowed with corpses, and the wounded had no treatment. It was a night from hell, when time stood still, and even the stones wept before the people did.
