A lot of people on here literally don't know what demisexual means. Like, yeah it might seem odd to actually go around saying you're demi. But there's very specific situations where I can see someone wanting to do that. It is technically on the ace spectrum because it's not simply "choosing to not have sex with people you don't have connection with"... Like that's literally not what it is? People who are demi are literally not sexually attracted to people they don't know, and it can take a lot for them to actually be sexually attracted to someone. It's not simply "choosing to not have sex". Like my brother identifies as demi. He doesn't walk around calling himself demi but it is useful terminology for the fact that he hardly ever has crushes. And isn't really sexually attracted to people very often. Idk it's such a dumb convo but people literally don't get the definition right. And it kinda reminds me of the way people talk about asexual people. Which bothers me because I am asexual. It's not simply choosing to not have sex. I'm literally never sexually attracted to people. And talking about that annoys people somehow? Its kind of just rude. I know some labels are overused or seem unnecessary but more than half the people don't even get the definition correct
