It's attached to a word or a sentence to convey the nuance that there's a possibility something is the case, but you're not entirely certain. Gramma “~かもしれません” Nouns + 〜かもしれない な-Adjective + 〜かもしれない い-Adjective + 〜かもしれない Verb + 〜かもしれない 〜かもしれない + Conjunction Particle 〜かもしれない is often attached to a clause.
