Figured I'd show off this OC of mine :))
Meet Tawnga!
This courageous 14y/o was born into a fairly isolated reef clan, but ends up with the Ta'unui people!
Now, hold up— upon taking a closer look, one might wonder... what is up with her finger and toe count?! Yes, you counted correctly!
Tawnga was born with a birth defect: Polydactyly.
Central type IIA, to be exact, the metacarpal of her middle finger splits into two (like a fork, essentially), resulting in two nonsyndactylous (fully articulated) middle fingers. Her toes are similar, only that her double middle toes aren't fully articulated.
If one gives her hands a close enough look, it's pretty obvious that they're na'vi hands with an extra digit rather than those of an avatar or a human, but how many actual references for human hands does your average na'vi clan have outside of knowing about the different finger count?
And let's just say... there is a reason as to why Tawnga ended up with the Ta'unui at her young age.
