Stagnant Winds
I don’t like the desert,
no matter what I do,
I cannot seem to adapt,
no matter how the sun beats,
no matter how the temperature falls,
I sometimes realize this wasn’t what I was made
for at all.
I miss where I called home,
the hum of the cicadas,
the glow of the fireflies,
the changing of the seasons,
It seems now like everyday is the exact same,
not even existing,
searching for a reason
Days change and nights go away,
but at the end of the day,
nothing ever stays the same or changes.
listlessness, hollowness, compliance
some things I feel day to day.
I wish the winds would change,
and roll through the desert life, like Jesus
and gods hands themselves,
I wish I could be happy
But this isn’t a rhyme poem
So, let’s not be so sappy.
The desert will never change
