What’s good everyone, I’m Mushroom, I’m in a forest, and now you are too 🔥

Some info:

I’m one of those he/hims. I am also in the possession of she/they pronouns that I stole from @slide-into-the-void. I don’t use those pronouns I just have them.

Big fan of fungi, and related organisms like slime molds and lichens.

I made a rain world au called the rw siblings au, there’s an ask blog for it, @ask-the-colony-tree-siblings, if you’re interested! I don’t post much anymore, but occasionally someone will give me a burst if motivation via a reblog or an ask, and I draw stuff lol. Everything will be under the tag #rw siblings au :)

I have ocs! They’re all under #mushroom oc post, but I’ll be making a tag specifically for my current story, which has a working title of Overgrown. (Okay it exists now, #Overgrown oc post, very creative I know)

Other tags are #mushroom scug, #scugshroom colony (not one but two separate projects combining mushrooms and rain world lol) and #mushroom complaining (vent tag, I made it so anyone who wants to can block my vents without having to block anyone else’s vents lol)

But yeah, fandoms I’ve been in while posting are rain world and sprunki, but I’m currently just kinda fixated on my own characters lol.

do Kami and Zizi ever get up to mischief apart from kudzu? do they need sneak out to get time to themselves?

Yes they do!!!

They have access to a car, their mom is essentially a mafia boss so she’s rich and she does that rich people thing where she owns a bunch of cars that she barely even drives lol. Zizi and Kami are allowed to drive two of them (they alternate to lessen suspicion), unless she gives them permission to drive other (fancier) ones.

That said, I wouldn’t get into a car with either of them. Zizi is a speeder, plays their music crazy loud (not good for staying under the radar), and will try to drift corners. Kami is marginally less reckless, but he Can’t Fucking See (+he gets raptured when he sees someone’s high beams lmao), so until he gets glasses he is absolutely not a safe driver either. That doesn’t stop them ofc, they like to go on little day trips to a nearby city about two hours away where they’re less likely to be recognized, and don’t have to worry as much. They still can’t let their guard down, but there’s no Weedkillers there who’ll know their faces well.

But they don’t always have the time for that, so when they decide to go out partying or something (ie when poor introverted Kami is held at gunpoint and forced to go to a club) they dress up in disguises. Zizi in particular loves this so much, they have a lot of fun dressing up and putting on different personas. Their main struggle is hiding their neon blue braids but they make it work with hats or wig things or wrapping up their braids or whatever they can think of. No they will not be changing their hairstyle to be more subtle. They straight up do not care about Kudzu enough for that.

But yeah here are some bonus sketched of potential Zizi disguises I doodled a while ago while brainstorming for a scene. They switch it up a lot so they don’t start looking familiar, and also just for love of the game.

They are very good with makeup btw (they have every artistic hobby under the sun) and can pretty much make themselves look totally different.

(Bonus fun fact: Kami usually dresses fem when they go out to party or club or whatever. This is totally just so he isn’t recognizable and there’s no alternative reason he might possibly be inclined to do this. Nothing at all.)

I’m concussed rn (one-wheel accident lmao) so I’m not supposed to be driving, my mom agreed to take me to the event I have to go to, not even an hour later I get a text that I will be driving myself because my mom has fractured a bone in a mountain biking accident 😭 must be boring as hell living in other families

Time skip/generation skip sequels are terrible and awful to me because yayyy my favourite characters got a happy ending except NO THEY DIDNT because we need conflict for their children/successors so actually their happy ending lasted approximately 0.5 seconds and then everything became awful again.

Like. Movies will have a young adult break some sort of cycle or save the world or something and then the next movie will come out and now that young adult is an old adult and their life didn’t actually work out and they didn’t actually break the cycle and they didn’t actually save the world and it’s like. It’s so sad to me.

Is anyone else bothered by this? Like I can’t stand it lol. I know it’s just a genre preference whether you like tragedies or not (I really don’t like tragedies) but it sucks so bad when media that wasn’t even meant to be a tragedy becomes a tragedy just because they haaaad to go and make a time skip sequel you know? And then I have to pretend canon doesn’t exist and make up my own happy ending au in my head lmao.

Nah like I don’t condone fucking around and getting killed but my bloodline has a long rich history of near death experiences and an aura of fuck it we ball and I am proud to carry on that legacy.

Anyways it’s got like a radius so if you become my friend sooner or later it’s gonna Get You. That’s actually why you crashed into that pole idk if you know that. It wasn’t the AO3 curse it was my aura. Yeah God realized we were friends so he had to try and kill you.
