ⓘ FUN FACT! assumpção was one of the biggest contributors in "vanguarda paulista”—a brazilian avant-garde scene that emerged in são paulo during the late 1970s and early 1980s, which united artists who operated involuntarily outside of the commercial music industry

happy black history month! btw I’m aware a few artists like santigold and dean blunt aren’t obscure by any means, but I still feel like they’re overlooked at least on tumblr so including them anyway
also sorry in advance if some of the descriptors are weird, I got them from RYM if that wasn’t obvious enough 😭. It’s mainly just to give ppl a rough idea of what the music sounds like
Don't even get me started on this album. I'm literally in love with every single song and have run through this album at least three times over since I first listened to it. Locals is my top track, with Uncanny long arms behind it and Good luck final girl just makes me want to cry every time I listen to it (I've already cried to it btw) Please give this album the love it deserves, April worked so hard on it and it shares a great message throughout the album too. The lore of the album makes it even better to listen to especially when you know what everything means when listening to it on the 2nd or 3rd run-through. I just can't say enough about this album just please listen to it
Found this song from a streamer I used to watch and I will forever thank him for showing me this song. All You Do used to be my favorite Mag Bay song but now I think this one has beat it. I still think this song should be longer though...
WFLYTD is one of my favorite albums of all time. This album was kind of hard to listen to at first but after each listen it got so much better and now it's a no skip album for me (even super pretty mess) Tape 4 is my favorite tape out of all of the six impala albums and I've memorized the entire thing!
Graveyardguy gives me mixed feelings because I could listen to his music for a while but some of the songs are a little repetitive (pg-13 being my least favorite) but if you like songs with darker themes then this could be a good artist for you to listen too! I recommend Final Girl by him and Slayyyter if you're thinking about diving into his discography
My mom showed this song to me when I was 8 years old and ever since then I have listened to it whenever someone disappoints me and pretend they're Earl
nice slower song by Charly Bliss that I think works well from the album (still haven't listened to the entire album though) but I think its a great song all in all.
Bjork is a mastermind in the world of pop music (if this is considered pop idrk) This song makes me want to scream at the top of my lungs because I can feel the emotion from within me and the song at the same time, but I can't go through with it because I have roommates. One of my goals for the end of the year is to go through the entire Bjork discography, so if you have any deep cuts or gems within that let me know!

bea is great, wasn't in love with her music when I first listened to it but it has definitely grown on me, esp this song that I now know most of the lyrics to :)
This song made me believe that bbno$ has a more versatile music career than anyone else in his genre, especially Yung Gravy (I dislike him a little bit more and more as the years go on tbh) Songs like gone, Help Herself, and Still are the only reason I think he's going to last for at least a little more longer than his friends and others in the 'silly rapping' community that him and Yung Gravy have cultivated for themselves.
First Bauhaus song I've ever listened to and it's still pretty top tier. Love the sound of songs like this so if YOU have any recommendations please leave them below
This song is too goated I had to add it... still remember playing just dance to this song in my grandma's house on the tiniest flat-screen tv you can imagine
No one can ever tell me to not be a fan of Austin Weber. If he has one fan I am that fan. If he has no fans I am dead. This is one of my favorite songs by him. Also, I recommend watching his Mamma Mia cover on Youtube because that's how I found him
