Style is an integral part of any music video, capturing the different sub-cultures and lifestyles across eras. Whether it's Dapper Dan's custom gear for rap pioneers, Dickies and Chucks for west coast legends, or afrofuturism for iconic divas, fashion can tell a story of its own. In partnership with @themuseumofmodernartand @momateens we'll be closing out their exhibit 'Items: Is Fashion Modern?' with a special Music Video Night featuring brand visionary Mike Camargo aka @upscale_vandal • Mike has played a major role in developing the aesthetic and evolution of brands such as Billionaire Boys Club, En Noir & Roc Nation. He's worked with a broad range of artists including Pusha T, Santigold, J. Balvin and French Montana. This intimate screening & discussion on 1.25.18 explores streetwear culture and fashion through the lens of videos. Moderated by @theBURBSLIFE and fashion historian, Stephanie Kramer, we're honored to be a part of this unique event to kick off 2018.
