This is my study blog, currently sharing and documenting my art away from Meta platforms.

Been thinking about doing this for a while now. I believe back when meta annouced that are no longer protecting LGBTQIA+ and minorities from bigoted harrassment.

Similar to when Elon Musk overtook twitter.

This also includes Meta's use of AI and potentially using content I posted on there, for their AI training.

There is also a lot of reasons why I have been barely posting my art work on their platforms.

The content posted their becomes a part of their own product rather than my own work.

I don't have much of a following but I hope I can make a sustainable career from my art work.

The drawing on the left is a doodle exercise, the drawing on the right was me attempting to do a continuous line drawing of the plant outside the window.

weekly art update photos from this past week. Enjoying the sun and the parks with pine trees.

I also did some drawings while I was there. This was a Thursday before work and the rain storm.

Then there is a gap I didn't take more photos until the Monday 16th of February when I got more energy.

just photos of public parks and walking touching grass near the public library. With the native plants thriving for the past few years.

That and just capturing the sky too.

Thinking of printing off these photos and then use as a drawing and painting reference for offline use

I love how dramatic the clouds are in this photo.

I know there are no drawings in this post, but posting these photos helps me start the creative flow again.

went to a house gig yesterday, was wholesome seeing some familiar faces I haven't seen in a while.

Sometimes I forget I have my camera with me and not take any photos, so after finishing work early, I decided to hang out at the local football field to eat, draw and take photos of my surroundings.

Drums were playing around the corner, and just hanging out with friends.

They also take photos with an old school digital camera instead of using their phone with nostalgia.

Just the first week of February 2026

Esk street walkway in Tauranga was incredibly humid and hot that day. Was waiting for my car at the garage during that time.

I have other images from the walk too.

I found some tagged signs on trees on this quick little walk.

Also the stream is full from the prior rainstorms.

The sky was very blue that day.

The end of January there was a rain storm that was 3 months worth of rain came down in a span of 24 hours, causing massive landslides and disruptions across the Bay of Plenty region.

Climate change is very real and already disrupted people lives in these massive floods and landslides, causing death and housing insecurity.

So I didn't have the time and safety to do rural drives. so here are the last few photos of January 2026.

Pōhutukawa tree trunks are always so interesting to observe and capture.

6 people died at the campsite landslide from the 21 January rain storm.

i love this image because not only is it accurate but also every time i see it i subconsciously scan the image to make sure its not somewhere i know. because everywhere in england looks like this. could be literally anywhere.

Another work in progress. So I use the drawing I made while bored at work, of the empty table and just did a lot of dots to do gradients.

I don't usually do dots with drawings so was a good exercise to participate in.

I also just have the butterfly sticker with doodles of dots and the little dots I doodled when at a cafe.

not much animating this week been sleeping a lot due to the rain. but slowly getting through Charlotte Brontë's book "Shirley" but it is not as good as "Jane Eyre"

From thoese drawing I would use butter paper to trace over with pen from the sketch book drawing studies.

I would set out to do 30 drawings then scan them with a green card into the computer to then edit the drawings together in Gimp.

they got export as gifs and then imported and edited in opentoonz.

I have a whole bag of cut up paper that I have to go through this year to make animations or zines.
