i don’t think people understand the pain of reading a slow burn romance book that ends with “ his body was never found”. i have never been this hurt.

spending my birthday re-reading if we were villains and eating ice cream, anyone care to join?
also i hate you the secret history becoming popular on tiktok you will never understand henry winter like i do
so numb that i might just re-read a little life to feel something
see, the thing is, i genuinely believe that love is the true foundation of everything beautiful. it's hard to put into words, but anything built on love and love purely will most definitely blossom into something so extraordinarily magnificent, no matter what. and i think that's what really matters at the end of the day.
— ocean vuong, on earth we're briefly gorgeous
I want my own private little library. Some intimate little spot to hurl myself into when I need a break from the world. There would be fairy lights draping the walls and candles laying around and it would all smell like the combination of books, vanilla and freshly baked bread. There would be windows big enough so that when it rained I’d be able to see nature at full force with the comfort of my books. And while the occasional flashes of light bled through the windows and onto my shelves , I’d be reminded that the arrogant storms were about to put on a show.
I don’t want teddy bears and chocolates . What I want is books and candles and wild flowers and candid photos and the stars and the moon and-
when ocean vuong said, “I want to insist that our being alive is beautiful enough to be worthy of replication. And so what? So what if all I ever made of my life was more of it?”
today, my adhd is not my superpower. in fact, it’s the reason i can’t keep my composure for longer than 5 mins in a row. send help or i’ll spend the day crying.
such a silly little being i am; i can’t be left alone with my thoughts for mere moments without bawling my eyes out.
the fear of losing a block of code that you dont need anymore so you turn it into comments and then you accidentally turn a whole other block of code into comments and now your code is crashing and you cant understand why and the next thing you know you’re standing on the edge of a cliff ready to throw yourself
goodbyes are so excruciatingly hurtful i don’t know how people do it over and over again :(
buying a physical copy of a favorite book that you read on screen feels like finally holding your long distance love at the airport
can we normalize main characters in books not being heroes or protagonists in any way? i mean, i love it when the main character is morally grey and mentally troubled and in general a very disturbing person that you must hate in order to get the utmost enjoyment possible from the book
the adhd urge to literally forget why i started typing out this post in the first place fuck
